Subject: Basketball: Lietuva vs Latvija

This saturday we will play friendly match in Riga, maybe someone are planing to watch this game :) ? Is Latvija's team strong this year, will there be Kaspars Kambala?

we will lose :(

I wouldnt be sure about that, we are training just few weaks and last weak we lost to Sweden :D We arent in form yet :(

Kambala was caught in using Doping and Disqualifed for 18 months (if i remember correctly), but we wil have Biedriņš from Goldenstate Warriors. I think that there will be great game in great arena. I will try to get tickets to this game.

Yeap, it should be great game. All Lithuania expects good results from our team this year in EC, we have new NT coach (R. Butatutas, probably some Latvijan knows him :) ) And whit his coming, came back almost all our stars, Ramunas Siskauskas who had amazing season this year in Panathinaikos and helped to win euroleague, Rimantas Kaukenas who won Mpv in Italian cup and was one of the best players in Italy, Donatas Slanina Polish cup MVP and of course our bigest star, "golden boy" - SARAS (Sarunas Jasikevicius) Had another bad season in NBA and now is hungry for basketball. They whit our curent player - big brothers Ksystoj and Darjius Lavrinoc, Robertas Javtokas, major future star Linas Kleiza from Denver Nugets last season had few amazing games where he outscored his team mates Iverson and Anthony, alsow our veteran Darius Songaila from Washington Wizards. But probably wont play in EC Arvydas Macijauskas :( And like always there will not be Zydrunas Ilgauskas from Cleveland Cvaliers, but he promised that he will play next year in Pekin (Beijing) :p I think this year we are almost as strong as in 2003 when we won Europe Championship, but it needs huge work to make a good team from these players i hope that Butautas has that experience, if not than we will be in big trouble :/

Butautas is hero between Riga`s basketball fans (ASK Riga), because after 7 years he bring back to Riga Latvia`s basketball championship cup. I think that he is great coach and we are pleased that he agreed to lead ASk for one more season.

Latvi have not so much and so bright stars, but we have good team and I hope that we will show good game in EC this year.

Latvija is always strong team to Lithuania, in 2001 we lost to you and our EC was over almost at the beging of it, in 2003 when we won EC first match was agains Latvija, you led almost all game but in the end we were able to snatch the victory. We can say that Latvija was strongest team becides Lithuania in that tournament :) oh yeah, the French alsow made my heart stop few times :)

I will go to arena to see this match but I don't believe that latvians have any chances :) Let's hope we will show our best.

Maybe someone could translate little bit what these people says? Especially what they say about Lietuva, i hope they dont make jokes on us :)
