How many places do youse tend to keep in your youth squad?
Here's mine just now:

Gareth Blanche good 2 Reject
Richard Mooney very good 3 Reject
Robbie Mannion solid 8 Reject
Patrick Hogan solid 9 Reject
Corey Burne good 10 Reject
Jimmy Reynolds adequate 17 Reject
Terry Morley good 18 Reject
Brendon Diffley solid 19 Reject
Bill Harte good 21 Reject
Paddy Harrington good 24 Reject
Graham MacDonald average 32 Reject
Robbie Burton poor 34 Reject

The last guy Burton just came in so Im debating whether or not to give him a weak in case he jumps to weak. But I feel like maybe my squads too big, but then I find it hard to reject people and so have been continuously growing my youth squad. Any advice? Is 16-20 places ridiculous or normal?

i think that you should have so much places, as prospect juniors You have + 6 empty places for new recruts:) i have 30 places actually for example:)

what is Your youth coach?

most of juniors with low level, but with lot of weeks could be prospect, and it's good allways to cheack their talent.

The more the better. It's a good idea to have a programme tracking them as well, so you can sack anyone that goes over 6 weeks.

in poland most of managers have two rules - sacking (as You said) anyone with talent over 6 weeks (or over 5 weeks, as I) and also sack junior if he dont have chances to be finally v.good at least.

I can understand sacking at 5 weeks if you've got a really good youth coach but most of these guys wont have. If they start sacking at 5 weeks they might be lucky to get 2 youths a season.

Cool I have ben tracking talent but haven't been sacking at over 6 weeks.

But what if they are say 7 weeks but will eventually come out at very good - is it not worth keeping them so as you can sell them, since other people wont know their talent?

I'd just cut your losses with Burton and get rid. He's a long way off and you're almost certain to pick up someone better next saturday. May as well keep him til the youth pops though.
To be honest i dont like having anyone over 25 weeks.

sorry, my misteke. i mean of course over the 5 weeks, so 5 weeks is also good enough:)

That depends on how long it's going to take for them to be ready. If it's 20 weeks then it's not really worth it. If they're 10 or less then go ahead, just keep the talent quiet.

A yeah I get you now - so if its 30 weeks ie 30 grand, then odds are you prob wont make much profit over that, if at all...
