Income Expenses
from sponsors: 29 091 £ ......
from transfers: 0 £ for transfers: 0 £
from tickets: 0 £ for stadium: 2 250 £
miscellaneous: 0 £ miscellaneous: 4 546 £
for salaries: 23 820 £
for junior school: 12 000 £

Firstly, whats the miscellanea from in my expenditure? Also, any tips on cutting down?

The misc. charge is made up from:
- 4.5% charged on the amount you're overdrawn (if in the red).
- the cost of using the coach recruitment tool.
- if you put a minimum fee on a player you transfer list

I'm pretty sure those are the only 3 things.

So if you haven't used the recruitment tool or sold anyong with a min fee, you would have been 101k overdrawn this morning before the sponsorship update.

As for reducing your costs, 12k is a large junior school for a IV side that isn't about to promote.

Its best to judge things over 2 weeks (home and away game) - if you lose up to 20k in a 2 week period, you can get to the end the season and the bonus payments.

Sacking coaches i think too?

Yes, that junior school is fairly large but would be affordable with coaches within your means. I would look at not entering friendly leagues and playing away friendlies in the best stadia possible. Really, really helps with IV teams. It sometimes made up over half of my weekly income so clearly important.

I'll check that, I have my team complete now, no more transfers.

10k a week on coaches, 13k on player wages.

trouble is... that with 20 spaces and the new talent system, he'd have to have a decent JC to have any clue about talent.

With say an excellent/formidable JC he'd have to play the same 11 juniors week-in-week-out to get a handle on talent.
So 3 or 4 spaces would be wasted on players that weren't going to play.

20 places actually

Your net fortnightly loss is fine, you just need to play away friendlies and use the new season cash to pay off your debt.

just realised :)

Didn't think of the new junior system; though i'd just promote as many as i could and use them as trainees to get a real judge if i was back in IV.

I just generally keep the 16yos
2010-03-06 18:50:14
have you kept any recent 16yo's? If they'll be leaving juniors early next seson, they'll be almost worthless as 17yo's

nope

I have 15 juniors currently.. recommend you cut that down to save some money.
When I was in Div IV I paid for good coaches but made money from the training of players to offset the losses. Also like DJ said try to play with big teams in their stadiums. I found out that sometimes your friendly will earn you higher than a league home game in Div IV if you for example played with someone from Prem league.

From my last match - 19 230£ :D.
Hopefully with the HDFC friendly this week, I should be fine.
