Subject: My Lousy First Experience With Youths And Some Questions

How good do youths have to be to get to the level of "bad starting team players"?

I was fiddling around with a tiny youth system and finally hatched a 'good' youth prospect.

He sucked! He was like worst-player-on-my-starting-C-League team suck. Would he get better if I sent him and some bench players out to lose friendly matches 10-0?

How much money do you have to spend on a youth system to even start getting players you can buy off the transfer wire for ten bucks?

I dont know what is the prototype of a player that play in the C-league so I won't make a guess there... but generally a "good" pull has a skill sum between 21 and 29 roughly which will normally be too low to be a nice 1st team player.

But there is one thing you should consider when you pull a juniors as well as his general level (good in your case) it's his age and its talent (how many weeks between pops). The lower the age the better as his training life span will be greater. The lower the talent the better as well as he's likely to progress quicker.
Imo a "good" pull needs training so I would definately send him to the training squad or put him on the market (age and talent considered).

In Australia just to give an exemple, for the 3rd division and in MY case I wouldnt consider a junior to be worth a spot in my 1st XI if he doesnt come out of the youth school as minimum an excellent or formidable...

friendly matches are just that. You can set out to win them all, or you can use them as a training opportunity for players. As far as I know, a player with the level of Good is about what Minkee said with overall scores reaching from 21-29 in all skills. If the junior fits your training plan, hold onto him, if not, sell him off in order to try and make back some of the $$$ you spent on him in the juniors.
