ok, thank you :-)
2012-03-08 10:19:11
Also, Germany have not lost a match in which Miroslav Klose has scored, and he's managed 63 goals in 114 games! ;)
2012-03-08 10:59:47
Also, 6 more goals and he'll pass the "Bomber" Gerd Müller as the top scorer for the German NT. The goals/match rate of Müller is far away though :D

Great game of Lewandowski against Bayern - goal, post, woodwork

best Polish players since 1980's I guess ;-)

Hahaha Subotic :D
2012-04-12 11:32:44
yeah, Subotic's reaction after the penalty was awesome :D

though...imagine how Robben would laugh if Subotic would 'score' that own goal in last minutes...he was VERY close :D

The last minutes were really entertaining.

Lewandowski is quite amazing. Imho he's really awesome when it comes to protecting the ball in the dribble or receiving long, high balls and distributing those to set up attack situations nicely. That fits Dortmunds style really well and is one of the reasons for their success.

His style has changed a lot since he moved to Germany, he is much more fit nowadays and stronger, even though you can't see that by the way he looks - strong muscles, not big muscles ;-)

He could be more lethal though, he often wastes great situations. In my opinion he would be most useful in a 442 with a fast striker who knows how to finish [something like young M. Owen]

How do you feel about Piszczek?
2012-04-12 14:56:19
I agree, he could be better at finishing as we have seen yesterday when he hit the post twice (I think). However, this is a general problem for Dortmund. They are wasting way too many great chances.

I'm not particularly watching Piszczek too often. He seems to be in very good shape right now and does pretty well on both ends. I think he's very quick and often creates chances from the wing this way.
Also, I think he played the most minutes for Dortmund this season. The coach ranks him very high I guess.

Congrats to Dortmund :)

you just gotta love the way they play , they showed no respect for Munich and they hated it lol , i hope to go over to germany again later in the year and hopefully this time i can manage to get to see a game as the atmosphere in german games is fantastic

Are Lewandowski and Kuba playing first squad for the National Team at the EuroCup?
2012-05-13 20:13:28
Let me put it this way:

If it was a 4-a side tournament, then we would play:

Szczesny - Piszczek - Kuba - Lewandowski

:p
we don't have ANY other striker than Lewandowski...mainly because our NT coach is an idiot

I will give you quick info about those strikers that he called for the Euro:

1. Lewandowski = awesome, best Polish striker since Boniek
2. Brozek - 19 games in Trabzonspor, 3 goals / 3 games in Celtic, 0 goals
3. Kucharczyk - 25 games for Legia, 3 goals [almost never played as striker]
4. Sobiech - 7 goals in Hannover 96, 1 goal

Amazing, right? :D If Lewy gets injured, we don't have any decent forward...

Our coach decided to take Matuszczyk, who is a reserve player in 2nd German league and Boenisch who was injured for almost one year, then in his comeback got red card and then played 2 very weak games

It might be a funny tournament for us.

...actually it's quite sad, because since I remember ['98] we never had so much quality in our NT - Szczesny, Boruc, Kuszczak as GK, Piszczek, Blaszczykowski, Lewandowski, Grosicki, really good players.

I'm not saying medals, but...with such Euro group we should be able to go through. Russia isn't really good even though they have some impressive players, Greece is...Greece:) and Ceska Republika isn't anywhere near what they were 6 years ago with Nedved, Rosicky, Koller etc.
