Subject: [idea] Helping small countries to grow
I think small countries can grow if opponents are more interesting.
So when countries are too small to have their own divisions, put countries together in divisions based on continent, football assosiation or regions (as regions are smaller, but sometimes too small to get enough teams to create a region-division)
The moment a country can have an active league with at least first and sevond division completely filled with human controlled teams, a national league can be started. EXTRA: a new division structure is needed!
All these different teams from different countries could have a shared division forum, but also have their own country forum.

B - second team in foreign country with no transfers allowed between it and the main team
Absolutely not a good idea. If all Polish players start a second team in another country, all countries are filled with Polish teams. Or worse, 20+ Polish teams with Polish names in for example a country like Kenia.

A - international youth school
Good idea, but make it random, no scouting area, just international youth players.
Posted in another topic:
What could be nice is if managers sometimes get a junior in youth school with a different nationality.
I don't know, maybe a chance of 1, 2 or 3%. This could also be good for small(er) countries. A way to get more well trained national players.
All that needs to be done is Sokker automaticly picks a nationality and use the name database of that country to create that player's name.
EDIT: as Sidral posted, something like a player who is scouted.

A - international youth school,
An option could be implement scouts for region, but that scouts have a salary and increment exponentially with the number of region that team are scouting. And the scout put on "x" region, he can find 2- 4 players with random nationality.
Other option is open youth school per region. Costs are coach salary, youth places and infraestructure.
B - I think it is a bad idea.
Nevertheless, if possible buy a other club in other country or countries like "Red Bull"

i like the idea that juniors from other, especially smaller countries enter youth school.
For example:
5 % that is a junior who enters your school is from a country with 10 or less users
3 % from a country with 50 or less user
1% from all other countries that are not your own
91 % from your home country
On the long run smaller countries should get much more better players.
Maybe it could even be possible for users to adapt such percentages a little bit or to choose:
For example:
National youth school: only players from your nation
International youth school: percentages like above
Transnational youth school: dobbled percentages like above

+1 to the first idea, if its implemented like the rest of users say, based on percentages and system choose the player.

Tbh I wouldnt do too much different categories as Im afraid it would soon switch the other way around and soon those minor sokker countries would become actually pretty powerful teams.
I would just randomize all sokker countries except for your homeland in this 3-5% chance - no matter if it was Canada or Slovakia or Nicaragua or India or Bosnia - all of them would make rivalry more interesting and would increase the number of players in Sokker and thus help U21 coaches do their job.
There are too many players from Poland and Romania and a few other countries - so maybe would just stem the recruitment of the 10 (could be more or less) most populous countries and even out the probability of pulling the rest.
After a few seasons, when the situation improves, maybe I'd totally blend all countries in this pot and make it 100% random.

well, if someone is not ok with the ideas (this or any other) can he or she elaborate why it is bad? there is room to improvements or some changes etc. maybe You see what me or others didnt, share that with the rest, might be useful
A second team in own country could be fun. Do it all over again but with all that is learned. But as you wrote, make any transfer between these teams impossible. Even second, third transfer of that same player to the other team of same manager should be impossible.
hard to implement also biding should be impossible as well
I think it wouldn't be that difficult, when teamname of first (or second) team is in transfer history: no transfer.
The history is known data, also right now.

Something else we can do to help smaller countries grow.
1) New managers should automatically join the highest possible league instead of playing against bots for 2 seasons. In India there are 4 bots in the top league.
2) An active team shouldn't be allowed to be relegated to a bot.
3) More awareness and advertising would be required. In a country of 1.3 billion people like India there are about 5 active users. Not that football isn't big in India.
