Subject: [idea] Protection against injuries
Injury system is very interesting to treat :
* How much injuries are relied to player's skills (form, defender, technique...) ?
* How much injuries are relied to pitch state ?
* How much injuries are relied to tactics used ?
* How much injuries are relied to hazard ?
Many factors are involved et maybe connected together to let an injury happen.
By adding a new system : medical staff, the idea is interesting but must be considered to be well-balanced to avoid too much advantages to teams with a lot of money (young teams will be disadvantaged for a long time without enough money to compete), hazardeous injuries has to exist as well (to keep a close to IRL).
For me, reducing long injuries with a medical staff could be a well-balanced compromise by using the same injury system used nowadays. Just adding :
* Take the risk to not use medical staff give you the opportunity to keep money to be stronger but give you the risk to get long injuries for your players and you must agree on this.
* Pay a medical staff will help to never had long injuries will help you to get always a good team in the field but you can't use this money for upgrading your team quicker and you must agree on this.
Only left the better money to use for a medical staff that keep the balance enough fair for all project.

This is game not real life wake up
So why are you so angry with me?

One thing I'd really like to get fixed is the double injury bug (it is a bug, right?)..you know those situations when your player gets injured, the ball stays in play, he picks up another injury and boom - 42 days gone.
Also...should play automatically get stopped when someone gets injured? I've seen way too many games where a defender gets hurt, the ball stays in play and then he's too slow to do his job and a goal ensues. It wouldn't be too unrealistic either, in real life an injured player leads to an interruption most of the time as well.
If that was implemented then it would automatically fix my first point as a side effect.

Those are really rare, I remember reading about these several years ago, do these still happen? If yes, I'd also like these to be removed.

If the injury is 30 days, then yes. But in real life players 95% of the time try to continue playing. Play is automatically stopped if there's a foul. If the injury comes without the opponent fouling, the play shouldn't get stopped imo. What if the player is faking an injury if he sees the opponent's striker is going for a break away? :D
It's hard for me to give an opinion on this. Injuries happen irl. 42 days is less than half of the season which type of injuries are not uncommon irl. Injuries are a part of football so they should be a part of the best on-line football also. Quoting your first post:
So most other manager games typically give you an option to reduce injury times or injury risk (yes, we can change pitch condition here but that doesn't protect us in away matches). You could hire a doctor, pay a one-time sum for a special treatment or build an infirmary that gives you long-term protection. There are a lot of ways you could implement this and it would always lessen the impact of these events.
+1. Every football teams has doctors and physiotherapists. If there's a problem with managers having too much money at the moment, why not let us use it on doctors. :)
And it's not just trainees that would profit, there have been CC finals in the past that seemed to be more about who has less injuries than about who has the better team. Cups and Championships shouldn't be influenced by these completely random situations.
Well, irl you don't win Champions League with 11 top level players. You have to have top bench too. I'd keep the injuries just for the fact that you need to invest in your bench too. After a long season with lots of games the risk of injuries is bigger. Luck is a big factor in real life Chamions League too.
Last but not least I'd recommend that injuries sustained during NT games are not permanent and get removed once the game is over.
Totally agree on this! Or they could stand for NT. I.e. if a player gets 23 days injury in NT he'll be healthy for club team but injured from NT for 23 days. As many times irl club teams don't let their players to join NT games if they have a small injury or are recovering. This would solve many problems both for club and national teams.

+1 injuries do part of the game, but we need to "control" the health of players to avoid its and when it happens to decrease in taking care of the player in the club infirmary .

Oh, yes. They do.
--
The main issue are those long lasting injuries to trainees in friendly, non-competitive games.
They happen a lot more than they should.
If your top player gets injured in a important game (season, cup, NT etc), which is supposed to be a physical one, that is close to reality, but if you play friendly game using your youth squad there should be no such risk of long term injuries.
If you compare injuries in game to those in real life, never forget that RL players have off season during which they rest and heal. So, it's incomparable.
Beside changing injury "algorithm", doctors and physical stuff should be introduced. That would help a lot.

For the dynamic of NT games I think that would be wrong to prevent players from getting injured, as they get training advantages and market prestige, which should be counter-balanced by some risk.
On the other hand, the managers SHOULD be able to choose if they want to run that risk, and, if the case, to refuse have their players selected for the NT, activating or deactivating the player's availability.
Of course this solution would have some impact on the composition of NT, and must be thought out carefully.

This means the death of the NT !!!
The interest of the national teams prevails those of the club (even in real this is so) the thing that could be done is to eliminate the injuries during the matches of the national team together with maybe the bonus that the player gets, to balance things!

Injuriescan occur but must have a much shorter duration (but 15 days) in proportion to the sokker times; it would be appropriate, then, to have the opportunity to develop your own medical center to reduce the possibility and duration of Injuries.
Injury length and faster recovery.
Need medical/phisical coach or medical industries into a stadium.

I understand the purpose, but this is just too unrealistic

I am definitely for the medical stuff which could reduce the injury time significantly
and for fixing the bug with double injury ofc

+1 we need something against injuries even I want to be able to focus healing on specific players trainees mostly something like this as option
For friendlies we can remove injuries if we do it in arcades why not in friendlies

important thing should be statistics and how often this big or small injuries come....
injuries happen and that should stay as it is....

Injuries happen, no reason to remove them or to make any drastic changes.
Injuries in friendlies should stay the same because players get almost the same training there as in the league, so if the reward is the same risk should be the same as well.
Only thing that I would changes are injuries in NT matches. I would limit them to 7 days.
Reward is not the same, nobody relies on that 50% of training the player gets, but the risk is still the same.
