Subject: [idea] Punishment for cheats

Stevie to All
How about an introduction of punishment for people who intentionally cheat ???

Sadly this week in Scotland we have had 2 users collude to ensure 1 of them wins the league

One of the teams involved spent 10m on new players this week , but put out a seriously weakened team including a 53yr old

Could there be some way to punish this going forward ? This isn't the first time and probably won't be the last time this happens

Maybe either demotion to the bottom level or being locked out of the team for a period of time could be an answer ???

I think it is difficult to prevent 2 managers making a deal who wins the league, and not sure if this cheating. If I for example could become number 1 but know that promoting will make me loose 12 games and a lot of suppoters, I could choose to lose the last match and not promote. Can also be called cheating as some other team can benifit. But is playing the game like that really cheating ...

The moment one team sells a crappy player for millions and let the other win the league, that is cheating and will be punished when reported.

Punishments for cheats already exist.

This is slightly different though. They haven't "cheated" as such but they have thrown the game and haven't been particularly subtle about it in the process.

However, this is a difficult one, for example, I basically didn't win the English Prem a few seasons back because one side forgot to set his league team and so his friendly team played against my rival and got truly thumped. His first team had a very decent chance of actually winning that game as well.

But, there's not much difference to the team on the wrong end of this. Whether somebody throws it on purpose or simply forgets to submit his team the net result is the same. Yet, I wouldn't want to sanction a team for forgetting to set his team (as he might not have had the chance too) so I don't think you can therefore sanction a team for throwing a match (given there is currently no rules in place to do so). Because the easiest way of doing this would be to field a shitty friendly team and then to make out that you simply forgot to put your league team out on Sunday. Nobody could prove that wasn't the case.

The person in question DIDNT forget mate , he intentionally changed it to the weakest possible team he could

AND he has posted on my guestbook basically saying he will do it whenever he wants

I fear for Sokker Scotland with these players in the league , there is a cheating ring in operation here and it has to be broken up by banning or removing the players in question

I've played this game for 15 years , I really enjoy it . But I find it really sad that these people are being allowed to ruin the game

Also , look at the Premier League forum in Scotland, JM Punk lays out when he was approached BY THE SAME 2 TEAMS this time to save WISLOKA

this is a great game full of really good people , let's get rid of cheats going forward

Well, that's not cheating that You can punish imho.

Group D, Nigeria won first 2 games and Bora Milutinovic decide to have diff 11 players against Paraguay and PAR won and qualify for next round. Real example on top level.

I didn't say he forgot, I said he threw the game and wasn't subtle about doing so.

Convince DEVs (and staff) this is cheating, and maybe something will be done about it. But I think it will not be possible to ban these players for cheating.

Like tcd_uk posted, next time one of them can just as well post 'sorry, forgot to change line up'.

Why do you have some polish users in your scottish league ???
(edited)
2020-04-21 07:07:41
We have very many here in Scotland

Lots of Polish people came here for work in the past and are valued members of workforce and community

Then there is people like Itek who are just cheats lol

Apparently the English Premiership is full of Polish users as well.

Think that's a good option as they both have a history of trying to fix matches to help each other

I feel sorry for the team that is going to lose the league to this fix

The number of goals seems impossible to reach right now unless a miracle happens in the next two weeks.
2020-04-21 07:16:35
for me that is clear cheating shame

They both basically ensured the title and a Champions cup qualifying spot for one of the teams involved.
