Subject: [idea] auto-bidding and/or direct selling.

Since the first days i play sokker the worst game experience for me is bidding on the market !

I dont want to spend my time connected, waiting the "last minute" to rise a price and finally (usually) forgive because prices rising too high for me (and not only for me :) ...

I know and understand why this bidding system and not direct selling : finding the "right price" and prevent cheating. But we can find solutions... So my proposals :

1) in-game AUTO-BID system. We just need to put a price and a max price, then stop following this tradings. For plus or not. (actually that should be a good reason for me to buy "plus" again ^^ )

2) Direct selling. But we need a system to prevent agreement and cheating betweens "friends". In my opinion, watching prices on the market is not a big deal and admins can (already) cancel a transfer. But certainly devs will have to improve the tools to watch and detect "cheaters" for high or low price direct selling.

EDIT : Few arguments against (auto-bid / direct-sell) said that this "features" could be use for cheating, oversell or overbuy players...
This ideas DO NOT introduce new things, ACTUALLY cheating (can) already happen without auto-bid or direct sell.

UI example.

This make sense if market is not unbalanced but+1 for me

-1

1) Imagine the situation the most users would use the auto-bid system. Every time you would bid on a player, a robot would immediately overbid you unless you would bid a higher offer than any other user. But then you would still have to wait until the deadline if someone doesn't overbid you a few seconds before it.

2) There are so many possible ways to abuse the direct selling that no system could prevent them.

auto bid system maybe +1
it would be weird if every time you bid you got overbid by someone...maybe you could pick 1 player in a season or so....that thing would be great for day traders...

direct selling
-selling for lower price - you can say that cheating is if someone gives his friend info about talent and does not give it to you....and then he sells it for a lower price...
or same thing but he sells if for a higher price because it is sold without extra trainings...or player is trained for NT squad of that manager and i have seen quite a few managers that gave extra money just because of the flag....
it is sometimes hard to see it clear...

but when there are some obvious things like giving 1M€ on some 50y old player then there should be some punishment and i think there is system that looks for that kind of cheating...

That's already happen exactly like that, and no need robots! just human dealers ! Fight for the cheap, looking great opportunities waiting on the market like a shark ... I'm agree with you : auto-bid robots will kill a little "this game" !

2) like what ? If a deal is overprice or underprice admins (already) should see them!

it is sometimes hard to see it clear...

well, talent, extra training, Nt reasons... i know that... but BASICALY and MAINLY price is money for skills by age by position !
Just use a price comparison tool too see that :-p

I cannot believe that you mean this seriously. Do I really have to explain the principles of free market? Look at the market. Look who is bidding the players. It is ordinary people like you.

2020-04-21 14:57:08
Well you dont understand the point at its base... I'm not against a "free market" and i really understand how a market price work (for the worst, to be honest) ... But You miss the starting point : I dont want to wait the "last minute" to buy ONE SINGLE PLAYER, and u know what ? ITS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME without any auto-bid robots :-)

If i need to be more clear : auto-bid robot Vs auto-bid robot will not change the "last minute" fighting ! but ITS BETTER (for me) because we put a normal price + a max price then we don't care about following the bids.

so put a bid high enough that others dont overbid you if you want the player and you cannot be online at deadline time. This auto-bidding system wont help you in any way because others will use it as well and the decisive factor will be still the highest price at deadline time

that will be TPA if you put high bid thats why i have some concerns a lot work from admins to investigate

-1 especially the direct selling.

The mods will spend their whole time checking and correcting the transfer prices.
And what about the people who don't follow exactly the TL market, new users included ?
How they will fix the selling price of their players without be fooled by others users ?
Bidding system is safer.

Auto bidding, well why not, but it will kill a little of fun to bid against robot (or to be one...).
And the reasons given by slavista make sense also.

so put a bid high enough

That's how it happen (actually) :) max bid first and put the market on fire ! :)

The problem is , if we put directly a max price at start, for sure any "kids" will put just a penny higher and not at "last minutes". So we have to watch the market, waiting for the "last minutes" to rise the bids !

We all know thats everything happen in "last minutes" even for cheap tranfer, so the strategy to "put higher price first and forgot" dont work (until we put 2-3 millions over the "real" price, of course). That's why an auto-bid system can help (for user like me who hate spending time on market)

agree to disagree? same player with screenshots of great talent and extra trainings and without that screenshots BASICALY and MAINLY will NOT go for the same price :-p

just check the market and compare by price/skills/age please ^^ it doesn't mean that screens, talent... help to get a better price (certainly for youngs) of course... But its not the main influence, just for the fact that screens/information is around 1% of the deals in the market...
