Subject: [change] Cheaper Plus
PPP-Index is based on income and on costs for living, in other words PPP-Index is far more fair than yearly income as index.
Is also okay, if that makes it even more realistic.
Maybe even higher the prices a little, Plus price has been the same for 10+ years, never any inflation correction.
This system can still be used, based on your PPP-index:
± 2500 euro per year and higher - Plus price is 3.13 euro
± 5000 euro per year and higher - Plus price is 6.25 euro
± 7500 euro per year and higher - Plus price is 9.38 euro
± 10000 euro per year and higher - Plus price is 12.50 euro
etc.
± 20000 euro per year and higher - Plus price is 25.00 euro

It is fair, because if based on PPP, one needs to work X hours more in a month to pay plus for a year subscription. The same time (x hours) applies to all countries.
Looking at Algeria and the Netherlands, 11,81 vs 41,83, and the Plus price would be for example 25 euro for dark(er) orange countries. What would be the price for a country like Alergeria? approximately 25 divide by 4 is 6.25?
Or does it not work like that?
Or does it not work like that?
The factor for the multiplication is noticed on the second raw (PPP) on my table.
This means, if base is 25 dutch €, then 25 € * [PPP Alg] / [PPP Ned] = 25 € * 0,27 / 0,94 = 7,18 €
By the way, very interesting to compare figures from the Netherlands and Algeria; look here https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Netherlands
and here https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Algeria&displayCurrency=EUR (especially on the last lines - Salaries And Financing)

Nice indeed, hope DEVs will look at this also :)
And ... I wish, but no way for me!! Average Monthly Net Salary (After Tax) 2,846.67 €
Not in health care ;) Health care isn't really an important job, so I don't make that kind of money. If I become a busdriver, yeh, then I will earn a lot closer to that avarage net salary :/

guys when i go store to buy bread no one asks me if i have a job or how much i earn price is same .
Sure but when you go to buy that same bread in a shop in Finland the price is 3 x higher.
exactly my thoughts.
When I buy anything online (Amazon, eBay, Netflix, content in any online game ...), the only price difference is because of the postage or exchange rate. But all the services or the goods cost approximately the same, no matter the country where you do the order from.
Why would you compare Sokker to the local bakery or restaurant rather than to another online service?

The point is to see if people can afford to pay plus or not.
People from countries with low PPP usually are younger than in Finland, in Germany or in Norway. They are the future of the market = Sokkers future + Greg´s pension
If you think for the next 3, 5 or more years, then you have to find out ways to expanse the business and have more long term clients and anybody can understand why people would not even buy bread for just 1 time in Algier if it would be in the same price like in Helsinki.

I was thinking about what could work even better and is more easy (in euros that is), based on PPP-index:
Low PPP - 5 euro
Middle low PPP - 10 euro
Middle PPP- 15 euro
Middle high PPP - 20 euro
High PPP - 25 euro
Low PPP - 5 euro
Middle low PPP - 10 euro
Middle PPP- 15 euro
Middle high PPP - 20 euro
High PPP - 25 euro
I like the colours of the houses on the front of the second pic! :)
Btw, about the 5 categories (5-10-15-25 €), I think 3 categories (5-15-25) would be enough. But it's not our job. It's Greg's job and perhaps also Raoul's, to inform Greg. :)

If it was up to me (but it isn't), knowing how many people live in Asian countries (4,46 billion people), I would change the Plus prices ASAP to get more of them to buy Plus, or when all looks a lot better. (Europe only has 741,4 million people!)
And ofcourse add languages Standard Chinese (Mandarin, first language of 917 million people) and Hindi (first and second language of 691 million people) asap. The number of people speaking these 2 languages is more then twice as much as all European people together, (and many Europeans don't even understand eachother as many don't speak English, the world language!)
And apparently there are many Chinese playing HT, so they have done better as Sokker when it comes to maketing in China / Asian countries.
When Sokker gets more Asian people, this also means new chances when it comes to getting sponsors / advertisement to Sokker (= more income for Sokker, and possibly even better looking and more new implementations as more (specialized) help can be hired!)
(Sponsor idea: see topic http://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/63355/ID_topic/3440613/pg/1)
