National Cup

We want to start a discussion about two possible options:

OPTION 1: All teams from the same country are eligible to take part in the National Cup. This means that clubs from lower leagues might get the chance to play against one of the top teams in their country.

OPTION 2: As an alternative to this proposal, we will have two Cups: A National Cup and a League Cup. Only teams from leagues 1-3 will play in the more prestigious National Cup. That way we should be able to keep a higher level of competition and teams from league 4 and lower will be less likely to get eliminated in the first rounds. Leagues lower than 4th will be divided into regional cups (4 League Cup, etc.) accordingly to number of leagues on certain level. One cup will never have more than 512 teams.

Option 1... club from lower league can play one-two roud early and winner will play vs better team... It is difficult for team from lower league play vs top team and they have chance play more cup matches... For us was good 1-2 sometimes 3 round only becasuse was official match and more trainig for your young players...

What about capacity to choose for a manager in 4th div or downer, which cup he want to play, if option 2 were on?
so we keep all advantages from these two options.

It's very important. Today, national cup is unusefull for new users!

option 1

I've chosen for option 1 for 1 reason only...
We have only 4 divisions and from those only 183 users, so not much real users in division 4.
BUT
I'd like the National cup also be one with a groupstage of 4 teams with 6 guaranteed cupmatches for ALL teams! But have only the first Teams of each group go through! 64 groups, 6 weeks group stage and 6 weeks play-offs. The semi final AND finale in the last week! 12 weeks...

I think it would be smart to have an evaluation for different formats for different countries, cause countries like Poland and Romania have more than 10x as much users as Belgium, so they'll need another format for their national cup for sure!

Im still trying to understand why we want 2 competitive game per teams i assume is about future idea of training so this can be achieved like that with current proposed formats of tournaments with some samll changes :

cup do not finish for team that lose but they go and play just in lower flow same way i do it in euro 27
fixtures for everyone till end of cup is that something feasible ?

so we keep one day for cup one day for international cup same thing teams do not eliminate play for lower standings and one day for leguage but we have 14 week season game is speed up cause now you have 3 games per week

also we can have group stage in national cup as well to make it longer if we want

quick draft probably with mistakes but is just and idea not sure i like 2 games in playoffs could be optional to one game

preliminary round is only for top level of international cup to give chance to all countries to be part of the ultimate sokker champion



for me what is super important to not mix the days of competition

if you do not have time you can have settings option to exclude you from any of the cups that is your choice you will play friendlies instead

the tree competitions are independent you can play in all days do not interfere

its just example its not solution to use it needs detailed precision i do not pretend i did i just show main ideas i want
- keep days per competition separate always
- provide min 2 official games that can be used for training eventual for all in all weeks

2 play- off matchs day after day, difficult to manage due to red card or injuries: solution only One play-off match
and may be friendly must be 1 one week the others at the end of season.

but that is only my opinion.

on theory chamionship can go friday and then playoffs can be sunday and wensday if we wont to save a week but for me leguage Sunday is something we never should touch IMO.

removing friendlies and reducing cups / leagues rounds to a total week 12 is not possible ?

for me biggest issue on all new proposals is mixing days of competitions or having 4 official games per week and if understand dev they do not want friendlies for training so in this solution friendlies will be limted to very low and even when play 2 official games will exist
other users can say as well my opinion is 12 weeks with 3 competitions is too much
