Subject: [idea] International Cup or International League?

The first sentence was purely theoretical as You might come up with an idea which seems great but ultimately in practice it turns out to work quite the opposite. I am not saying friendly matches are such great idea, at least I didnt meant to.

So far the only criticism about International League is the concern of its overtaking the National League.

I think this comes with any new competition. Some people already prefer the success in the National Cup over the League. So I expect that some would also prefer the success in the International League or International Cup over the National League.

And I dont think this is bad per se, because it gives users a diversity in the gameplay choice.

It's not the same a cup than a league with the same system of national league. For that we eliminate the national league. It doesn't make sense.

Something similar happens in real life. If teams played an international league, national league would become a crap. They are not compatible. It's the same thing, not a new competition.

I think what we are looking for is a NEW compatible competition.
All competitions must be based on the national league like in real life.
Two same competitions would be very boring. The excitement would lose its air. Every week preparing two leagues with the same system.

right, a competition that combines both a mini League and a cup system , it's something different that we don't have at the moment in the game at club level

I voted International Cup having in mind a cup like the UEFA Champions League.

My schedule able to have both an international cup and a cup like UEFA. Best of both worlds

With the training DEV topic released, and hearing friendlies get less training than official matches, having an International League, that is guaranteed to go all season, is a lot more fair to both strong and week teams.

If there is an international cup, 75% of teams will have to start organising the less effective friendlies after week 2, meaning the strong get stronger and the weak get weaker.

It's definitely a no contest over whether there should be an International League (fair for all) or an International Cup (only good for the stronger teams)

well we want to help weaker teams with their training by one measure but on the second measure we would let them lose the training because they would be the first to get out of the International cup .. that woukd not make much sense

Exactly. That is why cup would not make sense.

League is definitely what is required to maintain the vision of these changes

I still think that two equal competitions is rubbish. It has no emotion. It has no sense.
We will end up bored.
