Subject: [idea] make GK a multiskill role

el pupe to All
Today gk's performance is mainly determined by the goalkeeping skill. Yes, pace and passing count too... but too little and not in every situation. This leads to produce (and use) divine goalkeeping players almost obligatorily, and prevents real a market of intermediate levels.

I think it could be useful if more skills were involved in the goalkeeper's activity, and in particular in preventing the opponent's goal (it is not very significant to change the behavior when he has the ball in terms of performance).

so the technique could be the skill for goalkeeping technique as well etc?

its all good that you suggested but with current training system based on 2 slots for GK kinda do not think is feasible so lets see the news tomorrow first

It's also really unfair on current keepers as well.
For example, if they all of a sudden needed another skill to be really good you would be wiping a lot of money off their transfer value and off their rating and effectiveness in matches too. Not to mention, training this additional skill is rather problematical too (as is passing for keepers already).

The skills are disproportionate, too many young GK with Divin skills, this skill is upping too fast. But a Goal keeper can keep his skills longer , so the decrease of his skills must be slower. (JL Buffon is an example)

may be playmaking could help to distribute correctly the game of the team.

this is the GK evolution that must be reviewed

True, it would be unfair to current goalies.

Maybe we could use height to actually mean something.

- A tall keeper shall be good in high shots and intercepting high passes.
- A short keeper shall be more agile and do better in 1 vs 1.

Like in real life, Courtois and Keylor Navas are both great keepers, despite having a big difference in height.

anyway, the passing skill for gks is useless. I've had divine pass gks and there is no difference to a good one. the ball is shot to a player and before he gets it an opponent is here. this needs some correction in my eyes, maybe a one-touch passing on to another player.

That is because players need playmaking to decide whom to pass the ball to. When they decide whom to pass to, passing skill gives them needed precision. But nobody trains PM to keepers, which is why divine passing is pointless.
