I think that NT coaches will agree with this proposal...
When a user is elected as a coach of an NT, especially if it's his first time ever or in that country, he needs to study the situation, especially if the DB is not sufficiently up to date. He needs time.
Currently the first match of the new coach is the most important, the one that will decide the fate of the entire season.
It would be better if the NT calendar was organized in such a way that the direct matches were at the end and maybe if the first two or three matches were friendly, so that the coaches can prepare themselves for the Qualifying and World Cup in the best way.

Well with 13 week calendar will be hard to have much friendlies especially if we want to fit some continental competitions and i really hope 2 season is good length of cycle. But i agree about order of games it makes sense its really hard for new NT to organize. But maybe devs will make as some good tools maybe with visible skills on users that agree NTDB will not be need so much...

You can counter this by making elections having their deadline at week 12, in which the new coach elected can plan his scedule and give him a read-only pass for the database, so he can "scout" the players beforehand...
Also, make the NTDB a sokker-related site with clear overiew and sorting mechanism.
