Subject: [change] NT official continental U24/U27 istead of unofficial U2

The unofficial Euro U27 has been very successfull for many seasons, thanks to sviktorov and his commitment, gathering people interest in all Europe.
I think it could be changed into an official continental tournament (so Euro U27, Asian U27...)

Moreover, considering that:
* U27 or normal NT isn't really that different
* there is a huge age gap between the U21 and the U27 and many good players are not followed by NT staffs between the age 21 to 24
the U27 could be changed into U24... I leave the choice to the opinion poll

this change will NOT gave origin to a new NT
it's a simple short tournament, played in the empty weeks after the end of the World Cup, in which the player age will be limited to a certain level

Copa América has been successfull also in format U27, Venezuelan Saimon and the other manager organizators of this tournament did a great job,

If these continental tournament become officials, i prefer U27 by a lot,

Does this mean we would need a 3rd coach from a country? Or would it be the current senior coach doing it? I wouldn't mind either.

Can definitely see where this is coming from if there has been success with the Uxx comps. A bit like the mini world cup, U21 Asian and U21 African cup etc.

I am a +1 for different formats, even if it more, devs give us the opportunity to create cups with certain rules.

I'd love to see something like a handicap cup too. So for every 10 places you are lower ranked, you are limited by 1 year. It would make for a very interesting competition, where Poland is using U21's, but Iran is using U30. Which when you look at their last game, would be surprisingly similar (Poland U21 rated 61.1, Iran seniors rated 60.5)

I think U23/U24 would be a great idea which would mean that we'll be able to experience an immediate transition of our U21 players in the U24 tournament which would be fun to watch. Also, it would mean that we would be giving more and more preference for the players between ages 21 and 24, and with players who come out late from the junior school at age 20 but with good skills will be playing an important role in U24 set-up even if they couldn't in the U21 setup.

U27 is the best candidate since we prepare the next generation for the next world cups.

Unfortunately, because of the linear system of progression U24 are usually "to weak" to be part of the next generation.
These many U24 players have not had an official match since the U21s. That' s a pity. The ideal would be official U27 AND official U24...

Also, why I prefer U24 over U27 is because if you look at the senior NT matches, there are already many players between ages 24-27 in the playing 11. And it won't be realistic if a player plays both in U27 and the senior NT. Instead, if we keep U24 official tournaments, you can see a nice transformation of a player from U21 to U24 and then to the senior NT. Currently, once a player crosses the 21 age mark, people lose track of them until they suddenly emerge in the senior NT. And many of them don't even make the cut to be in the senior NT and are lost out. With U24, we'll see more and more players getting NT games, we can easily keep tracking of their performance immediately after U21 and we'll also see more and more users getting the experience of coaching a national team. And as I mentioned previously, those 19/20 year old players coming out of the junior school will still have a role to play in NT games if they have the right talent. Win win for everyone :)

I do not agree U24!
The small national teams are already struggling with the U27s with this formula it becomes a bloodbath, for many national teams the result is only to bring down the ranking.
I don't like the vision of the national teams as chicken coops for training ... we also play to compete and to give rise to interesting matches to watch!

We can compete with U24 as well and have fun, its more scouting work and another tactical challange

From my perspective as a small country, it doesn't really make a whole lot of difference whether it is U24/25/26/27.

What would be an issue is if they made it a maximum of 30yr, because well trained players can play until 34/35 despite their skills going down.

In my opinion, the officialization of such competitions is completely superfluous. This means an additional effort in terms of programming and we already have a very tight season schedule.

I think it makes sense that U27 games (as well as U24) can be played, but let's be honest? The national team should be able to decide for themselves if they want to do that. After all, it's an advantage to give younger players the chance to play for the NT and use them at the expense of older and stronger players. But that should be part of the strategy of a national team. In my opinion, the people in charge of Sokker should not do anything about it.

And as for Jupiter's beard: We already have a very good organization here that organizes unofficial tournaments. This voluntary work has worked very well so far. If necessary one arranges U27 games for oneself.

That's true but it wouldn't be so hard to add a checkbox in the request to force the friendly to be played under U2x rules. This way, those managers that use to "forget" the type of arrangement wouldn't benefit from it
