Subject: [Change] Injuries in National Team
"So the real question isn’t who is immoral but it’s what the game should allow."
I totally agree with you on that point.
Before my comment you wrote:
"why do you think it is lack of respect and fairplay?"
That was the reason of my answer, to show you my point of view about fairness. Nothing personal here, just sharing my point of view.

Maybe I should clarify. Would I use that strategy? No. Can I understand why u21 coach used it? Yes.
My whole point was i felt u21 coach was being overly criticized.

Thank you for sharing this.
I think first time in my life I agree with mustafaatik - the situation did get out of hand before. I hope things are more calm now haha.

Tad, I think you've missed me. I can come back to the US if you want. :)))))))
And how can you define a “strategy” that involves breaking legs of the best young players during training?
The word “stupid” seems relatively moderate to me. In the end, its just a game, but it is still stupid.
To be fair, because this is the main issue, the rule that allows NT on a bouncy field is even more stupid.

Can talk about rules etc all you like, I doubt very much the intention was to get as many players as possible injured. Let’s be real, it would have just been at worst a strategy to even up the skill difference.
I don’t really have an issue with that strategy myself. You do get to see the stadium in the studio, you can see what the stadiums dimensions and pitch condition so you can plan accordingly, unless they do a very last minute swap. Consider that aspect the advantage of playing at home.
I see these pitches all the time in real life qualifying matches at NT level, where they are complete cow paddocks intentionally designed to stifle the oppositions natural flow.
Not something I’d personally do but there’s nothing against it in the rules. Seriously stop crying about it.

They don't cry :) you yourself say you wouldn't do it because you play fair. Destroying someone else's work with a poor pitch is, to put it mildly, 'mean-spirited'. Playing on the best possible pitch is recommended for every gentleman.

you can change the stadium literally seconds before the game starts
I think the issue is not the pitch quality affecting chances to win, especially since France won comfortably.
The issue is NT coach deciding to increase the injury risk to players of both teams, which are NOT his own players, so he doesn't suffer any consequences of an injured player. That is not fair and I would not want my players being used by such NT coach.

The option to change the pitch for national teams definitely needs to be restricted - national grounds should be used only... Users chosen as national coaches who select a bad pitch are a shame not only for themselves but also for the community that chose them
I'd happily use the national stadiums if I could control the pitch size.
It's very, very wrong!

How could you compete in all this official tournaments with this kind of long term injuries, coming from nowhere?

That makes perfect sense.
2 league matches, 1 national team match, 1 cup match, and the Champions League.

Poor Ali, owner must be mad at me... but it is how it works sadly!
