I'm curios how many games I need to lose until things gets sorted. After this game I'm considering quitting. I really don't understand why I'm getting so many poor results and the last match played made it even more ridiculous.
Why players have N number of skills when those are not applicable?
Why do we pay subscription to support a game and the result is a joke?

I had so many games where I lost points because of something that I don't understand. Hopping someone can explain and make me understand what is happening here.

wow that's the kind of luck I had last season. i had one game where the dude (worse team) somehow scored 5 goals on 8 shots total. I think only 6 hit the net. My 16/15 goalkeeper made ONE save.

I understand exactly what you mean. Let me give you an example from my last game. Even though the opposing goalkeeper was in weak form, he saved every shot like a superdivine goalkeeper, and this goalkeeper only had an 81 rating – meaning he's not a top-tier goalkeeper. No matter how good your tactics are, or how bad your opponent's tactics are, if the game wants to stop you, there's nothing you can do.

And your strikers were only excellent and formidable form so not much better and get 60s as their ratings. I’d guess that the opposing gk is actually a pretty good keeper if they’re getting 81 in weak form and higher than your strikers by quite a margin. That being said yeah these results happen regularly and are frustrating when they do but it’s not like this doesn’t happen in real life either. Could probably easily pull up many results from real leagues where the team dominating ends up losing or failing to win.

I'm really tired of some people using real-life examples in this game. In real life, matches like this happen once in 30 or 40 games, but here they happen all the time. If you're a low-rated team, you'll score two goals with two shots. If you're high-rated, your goal percentage will decrease. Just yesterday, in my league, in 4 out of 6 matches, low-rated teams scored goals despite taking very few shots, while high-rated teams either didn't score or scored with a low percentage despite taking many shots.

If you want to give an example, you can show all the matches from just one league. But don't show only selected matches from different leagues like some users do.

just check the stats of the latest rl Champions League match day:

18 matches played, acc. to stats these matches were weird:

Atlanta Bergamo - Atletic Bilbao 2:3
Lissabon - PSG 2:1
Bodö/Glimt - ManCity 3:1

... and these were unlucky aac. to shots on goal :
Juventus - Benfica 2:0
Marseille - Liverpool 0:3
Galatasaray - Atletico Madrid 1:1
Kopenhagen - Napoli 1:1
Villareal - Ajax 1:2
Inter - Arsenal 1:3

So, out of 18 matches
- only 50% were in-line with expectations and stats.
- 33% were unlucky considering that the stats (specifically shots on goals, not necessarily xGoals)
- 17% were really weird and unexpected in view of stats.

The random factor in sokker is much much lower.

But selective perception and communication in the forum might cloud the individual objective view on this.

You may still ask for a lower random factor, but please acknowledge that luck and unexpected events are integral elements of ball team sports like football.

You may be tired of it but many of the functions here are designed to be based somewhat off real life situations. Wouldn’t surprise me if the probabilities for things like injuries/chance to score a goal etc are somewhat based off real life statistics. Again could be wrong but if I’m not then your whole tired argument falls flat.

It’s a simulation so everything is going to be probability based. A 1-0 loss despite dominating is unfortunate, even frustrating but they didn’t lose because they had a better rating. They lost because rng was unkind. I’ve had a fair share of them too but they also do work in your favour at times too. The previous game to that 1-0 loss for example judging by shots and possession etc alone one could claim they got the lucky side of rng. People are prone to see the negative times and skip past the times where you got away with one or the luck went in their favour.

There’s so many other factors other than shots like the quality of the shot, the skills of the players involved etc. Otherwise if it’s just whoever gets the most shots why bother playing as you know most results before they are even played.

Again in the 1-0 case it probably makes no difference, it was just one of those poor rng games that happens and is part of how this game works and has almost always worked (ever since they put in a system to try and reduce blowouts).

There are many games like this. I picked last one i remember

I think expectation of many managers in sokker is: better players = guaranteed win

Using La Liga 2024/25 (last completed season) match data + pre-match odds from Football-Data, the favorite (the team with the lower win-odds between the two teams) lost outright in 73 of 380 matches = 19.21%.

Of course sokker engine is different than real life but personally I found this interesting

There's more than stats here as well. Lets say one team fires 18 shots all from 26m away from goals, is it more dangerous than opponents teams 8 1vs1's which i consider as 100% opportunities then i wouldn't be surprised to see a 4-1 for the team who had 8 ''shots'' in statistics against the team who had 18 ''shots'' from FAR. It depends what we measure here as dominating as well
