Subject: [idea] Form fix

2026-02-19 22:24:05
Its main problem already on every sokker forums look like to me. For example, we're here to talk about form fix.One is boasting about the easy medals he won with Poland, satisfying his ego, while the other is praising him and making irrelevant comments.

The best thing here is when the administrators step in, and if there's anything to praise, it's the administrators who do their job and provide accurate feedback.

@Dtox9 Thank you for trying to create an environment where everyone can express their opinions and have healthy discussions.

About the form my opinion still same.Resetting the all players forms in every pre-seasons could be best solution like how new fresh players coming between.Because form mostly about player performance or other reasons effected seasonly. New season meaning new targets, plans and motivation. Form cannot to be stack on previous like couple seasons. İts not look like logic to me.

A bit extended version:

- let's call it "supercompensation"
- week 13 or week 1 - once per season's break
- pay the equivalent of a player's salary
- and exchange some stamina points to a form for example like that: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/4/d/e/2PACX-1vT1Dl-Hy2bDuaF3fLsWBjn-agurNeH0r3YuI1bmBSLkh4SiSA1CI73IPsgTMI6a8OrOPDZMOEK-rN4_/pubhtml

I'm probably misunderstanding this, but why would (in the case of form 0) I would choose to knock my guy from stamina 11.99 to 8.99 just to move his form needle up 6? You could functionally lose that, at random in a week.

I think it's more about the tendency factor. Form tends to either go up or to go down for a long period.
Rerolling would give you a coinflip whether it's starts going up or back down again.

The form should be programmed to have the distrubition such that most of the players are around mid value, what would be some 8-10 range.
0-2 and 16-18 are extreme values, and should in normal distribution be rare.

But we have a form distribution that tends to be extreme and to stay there for a long time. I have maybe one player (Tasovac), that has been in some "normal" range (5-12) for a few seasons and he is a total exception. I am just waiting for him to finally decide is he going up or down.
The rest of the team is either 16+, or they go to tragic town and become useless.

If form distribution would be done properly, than low form would be not great, but still survivable and great 16+ would really mean you have a guy ready to kick ass.
Currently even 10-11 form players are considered out of form, and guys with 0 form (in a system where you can't really impact form) one can only sell

At the same time, you can rebuild your players' stamina fairly quickly.
Now, once you reach stamina level 11.99, you can forget about it; no one pays attention to this skill once it reaches its maximum level. The idea mentioned above gives it a new use.

I gave these values just like that, without thinking too much about whether they are balanced, but they already show the general idea.

It would be better if we knew why the players' forums were down.

The form mechanism is based on randomness. The range of randomness is modified by specific “events.” When an event is positive, randomness gives a greater chance for form to increase, and when it is negative, there is a greater chance for it to decrease.
What this “event” is, and whether there is one or more, remains a secret.

If we take the real world as an example; a striker who consistently scores goals is generally in high form, or let's consider a goalkeeper; a goalkeeper who keeps a clean sheet is generally in high form as well. I have two players whose form hasn't improved at all. One has been in terrible form for almost 45-50 weeks, and the other has been in zero form for 13 weeks. I've tried almost everything; resting them, playing them in different positions, playing them in different commands, giving them insufficient training, etc. The result is disappointment. This feels a bit unfair to me. It's very sad and frustrating that I can't see the true potential of a player I've been developing for almost 100 weeks.

I hear you.

I'd never use it then. Not worth the risk and the cost is extensive.

Maybe if there were enough people being guinea pigs and seeing it did as promised.

I'd want it to be outstanding if I were to sacrifice the stamina, personally.

The form mechnism is based on randomness, but tends to be based on ridiculousness once it kicks on the low form cycle. Imo the range of form is much too high and range of stamina is too low! If you want to give stamina a new meaning, give it 18 levels and draw the form ratio back to 10 levels. Imo more than enough variation and probably very easy to change
2026-02-25 21:50:29
If you had a top player with 0-5 form for seasons in a row you would gladly sacrifice the stamina (it would rebuild by +1 pop every ~7 weeks anyway)

especially since giving a stamina training to a player while playing for results (so 28yo+ players) would be a non-issue anyway

The form mechnism is based on randomness, but tends to be based on ridiculousness once it kicks on the low form cycle

it works same way with high form cycle (and high form cycle is happening more often)
IMO if the form was fixed to concentrate more towards the middle, then the average form of players would drop

If you want to give stamina a new meaning, give it 18 levels and draw the form ratio back to 10 levels. Imo more than enough variation and probably very easy to change

without a deeper meaning / idea it's kind of pointless since stamina improves every ~7 weeks

even if a 17yo starts with 0 tragic stamina, at age 24 he would reach [16] stamina without any stamina training

Fair enough.

I DO appreciate you appreciate you trying to hash out a solution

Then withdraw the automatic stamina raise by GT...simple. OR...give stamina the same training ratio like passing f.e.
