Subject: [idea] Form fix

2026-02-25 21:55:13
Then withdraw the automatic stamina raise by GT...simple. OR...give stamina the same training ratio like passing f.e.
2026-02-25 21:57:08
why would you want to do that though? it would lower the quality of players
2026-02-25 21:58:23
especially since giving a stamina training to a player while playing for results (so 28yo+ players) would be a non-issue anyway
so meaningless sacrifice for rather high gain (those players will be missing only form if anything at all)
should be pace
2026-02-25 22:00:10
But training them to be high quality players with 0 form for 5 seasons not?
The form issue is too harsh! There's nothing you can do besides hope and pray. This way, all players will be slightly less world class, but it will create a much bigger diversity in tactical choices and possibilities and the game will return to the basics... being a manager game and not being an economics game
2026-02-25 22:04:14
not so meaningless

if you do that you lose x levels of stamina so for a couple/1x weeks your player(s) have to play in important games with lower stamina = lower performance / with need to be subbed during game
2026-02-25 22:05:32
But training them to be high quality players with 0 form for 5 seasons not?

please try to simulate how much worse would players become if you would have to train EVERY player in 1 extra skill

so MIDs suddenly with 6 skills, ATTs with 4 skills etc.

that would be a change with an extremely big impact
2026-02-25 22:12:27
Sure, but for everyone the same! Now it's just unfair for the unlucky onces who have trained a player to be a world class player and see their form drop only to never rise again for the duration of their prime as being a sokker player.

My 2 cents, once more... split club and NT injuries and fix the form issue, in any way possible. If this would be done, Sokker would be 10 times more fun! Or would that be too bad to have fun with an online football manager game, other than being a world class mathematic and economic?

meaningless, nonetheless
describe some potential common enough case in which it would not be chosen if the form of 28+ yo 2+ mln euro player is low

I agree that something should be done with form (that's why I opened this topic). They're doing things step by step, next one is probably youth school, perhaps in the meantime they will concentrate on less complicated/demanding issues like: extra training slot, form, BMI fix (it has to be dynamic not constant)

I don't think that adding an extra skill (more levels, passing-like training speed) is the way to go, because it would impact the game too much and would lead to overall quality of players vastly dropping

If you have a 5x magical midfielder and would need to get his stamina to at least 15, you would end up with a ~5x incredible midfielder
2026-02-25 22:21:16
I don't really understand why do you need such example? Obviously form is mostly important for first team / older players and obviously "form fix" would be used when the form would be low...?

And no, I don't think that sacrificing x levels of stamina for first x weeks of season [so 4 times x games] would be meaningless, especially for a CHANCE to fix the form, not for receiving guaranteed 14+ form
2026-02-25 22:40:52
I just dont see why someone having ~ekstraklasa team with some players in bad form would not use that functionality every possible time
2026-02-25 23:02:33
That’s why it should be available only once every season, not guarantee high form and cost „something”, for example stamina as Geston suggested

Honestly, I'd have sold him off and cut my losses at that point.

The problem I would run into with stamina training is having to actually assign it to a category at all. Unless goalkeeper would work for everyone, I don't see how it would be feasible when training players of whatever age everywhere else.
Unless stamina as goalie would work without actual game time? I have no idea.

That's mostly because at this point you have a different perspective. If you had a high level team this perspective would change, believe me.

If you train a top start from 16-18yo then you don't want to "cut losses". And the losses are actually high when you want to sell a top quality fully grown player without form and buy an equivalent with high form. It's not as easy as "ok, I will just buy one that has form". First of all, the price difference. Second of all, top level players are not available every other week on TL, especially when we're talking about a specific player (so def with extremely high sideskills, ATT with [14]+ defender, or ~4x 18 winger).

As for price difference, an example.
28yo, 18-17-16 ATT, 0 form - 4.9m euro
28yo, 17-17-18 ATT, 8 form - 6.8m euro
28yo, 17-17-17 ATT, 12 form - 9m euro

Form can make a huge difference in price. At certain age it becomes as important as skills.

The problem I would run into with stamina training is having to actually assign it to a category at all. Unless goalkeeper would work for everyone, I don't see how it would be feasible when training players of whatever age everywhere else.

Well usually when you're concentrated on high level play, you don't train youths anyway so it's not a problem. And if you do, you can just train youths with DEF/ATT order and train main players in stamina with MID.

It's really not a problem. Not long ago it was only possible to only train one formation in one skill. Now you can do all kinds of combinations.

Well, my intention this time around is training youth in my 5 defense spots once they turn 28 - because my team will cost more money than ML can afford, unfortunately.

Still, I guess we will see what the implementation ends up being. You are right, It is fair to say that one week of age 28+ training won't matter, just would have to stick the trainees somewhere else for a week.
