Who is toontje?
I am toontje and I play in de Hoofdklasse of the Netherlands. I am 22 years old. I am studying economics and I am doing the sport of judo. When I am at home I play sokker:P I am the U21 ATT scout of Nederland for a couple of seasons now.
U21 coach
I want to continue the work of my compatriot fcsharky. He did a great job by winning a couple of matches last season. I want to improve this and I want Hong Kong to grow. In order to get Hong Kong higher on the raking I need the help of the Hong Kong managers. Without your help I can’t function well as a coach. I hope you, as managers, are willing to help me. In order to grow as Hong Kong we also need more (active) users. So tell all your friends, family and other people about Sokker. As a coach I can help you (and the new users) with questions you have about Sokker (and maybe real life problems:P) The role of a national coach is to win matches but also to help the community with al sort of things.
My plans
The Hong Kong community is small, this means we don’t have a lot of players to choose from. This is where the help of the Hong Kong community comes into play. I need your help in order to train and raise Hong Kong players.
I want to tell you I want to play offensive and attractive football, but this is impossible with the small team of Hong Kong against the big nations. The most of the time we play with a lot of players behind the ball. I think my experience in the Netherlands regarding tactics is good enough to learn the Hong Kong community something about tactics. Therefore I like to have a Hong Kong assistant. I can learn the assistant how it all works. On a longer term he could be the guide Hong Kong needs.
Goals
My ultimate goal is to qualify for the U21 World Cup. This is a big step for Hong Kong, so this may take a couple of years. Because of this my goal is to get Hong Kong higher on the ranking. The other goal is to get better players and grow with Hong Kong. Coming season will be a season filled with friendly matches and is also there for getting to know each other better. The season following will be the qualifying season.
The national team
You can also vote for spijkboy_20 on the NT page. If we both get elected, you have two Dutch coaches. spijkboy_20 and me should work together intensively. Of course, if another one becomes the head coach I want to work with him together as well.
