Subject: [NT]Friendly matches

2012-08-25 12:40:47
Luxembourg (mixed U24-U25) 0-3 Hong Kong (mixed U22-U23)

our young players have done their job on the field and brought us a great victory!!!
2012-08-30 09:31:53
It's a great victory and we had good attack plays, but our defenders seemed pretty weak. Unfortunately I'm training strikers so I cannot help improve the situation.
2012-08-30 16:27:33
yes because our defenders are too slow :( anyways I'm helping them with extratraining in these matches and very soon they should be as fast as I could use them in difficult matches.

good job for you and all users that are training strikers for HK.

The match between HK and Romania will be played with our best first eleven against their U24. 2 seasons ago, Romania has won the World Cup and is an honour for us for this confrontation.

we just hope for a good result but is very difficult!! I'll do my best to bring a good result here :)
2012-09-01 12:00:12
Unfortunately, Romania was too powerfull and impossible to beat and somewhere, very lucky, because we had a better ball possesion and some goal opportunities!

the first tactical scheme is very good but doesn't work in these matches because of the strong opponent's defending. The second tactical scheme has worked very well and the score in the second half was 1-1.
2012-09-02 14:29:26
Romania was of another class and losing to them is not a shame. Rather I care more about the results against teams with levels similar to Hong Kong.
2012-09-02 14:41:51
if I win again the elections, I should schedule friendlies with these teams, because in the world cup qualifying stage we will play against some strong teams and 2 or 3 teams with levels similar to Hong Kong.

Is not a shame losing against Romania, but I needed to know our potential for the matches in WCQ stage with strong teams.

In this season, if I have been played with strong first eleven against teams with level similar to HK, I have been beaten them. But also, it was important to play with very young first eleven line-up, for extra-training and test differently tactical schemes.

i will do this in the last friendlies. i will use U26, or U25 players for extratraining.

While having a bit of extra training is good, I think it's also important to win some matches to push the ranking of Hong Kong up so that we can face weaker opponents in the WC. Hong Kong once reached like 55 in ranking with the same user base and U21 has similar ranking for 2-3 seasons so I expect the team perform a little better than now in the coming seasons.

Talking about today's match, I think you may want to try placing the CM in a more forward position so that 1. He can receive long passes from the defs 2. The strikers can stay longer in dangerous area 3. The three midfielders can more easily pass to each other 4. He is not helping much in defense in the current position anyway.

Of course it depends on the opponent's tactic, but it should work better at least in today's match.

As I said, the extratraining is very important and it is a priority for the young players. I know that I've lost more matches than won matches, but here was my unluck, sometimes few tactical errors and the players with pace too low. The tactical schemes I've fixed in these periods. Also, it was my fault when I've scheduled strong matches, but the reason was to verify our level and possibilities to make surprises in these strong matches.

Trust me mate, whatever we do, we will meet strong teams in WC qualifying stage. I've also fixed the problem with friendly matches because I've talked with some of NT (maximum marks 60) coaches and we will schedule friendly matches and the first chance to win the matches is for us!!

I know that I've used an offensive tactical scheme, with an winger and central midfielder as attacking midfielder and the strikers with a big distance between them, in some moments. And I think that is not a bad scheme. Rolandas Miasojedovas is the best sokker midfielder (5x superdivine). When a NT have a player so powerfull, trust me, is really impossible to create more goal opportunities. (Rolandas played as defensive midfielder).

Of course it depends on the opponent's tactic, but it should work better at least in today's match.

let me tell you something that shocked me: my new tactical scheme with winger worked, for 0-0 at halftime. The best tactical scheme (5-3-2) didn't worked in the second half, which is a big surprise.

For next seasons I will have players more and more stronger because of their extratraining in this season. I will bring more good results, and I will try to qualify HK to World Cup, if HK community trust continuously in my work.

Probably I've dissapointed the community with the bad results but only 25 percent was my fault, because I've explained the reason of some of the bad results.

Like all of you, I want Hong Kong to rise up to a better general ranking place, but one season is not enough!! I hope that all of you will continue to support me in my work!!! I'll be glad to do the best for HK NT.

I do not think that I will have any chance to win in the election. I am still standing for the election because I want all of you to think about a question. The question is that should we allow players from other countries to control our national team. If you think that our national team should be led by player who is from Hong Kong, it will be worth giving your valuable votes to me. If I were you, I would not believe in the foreign managers, who have said that they can improve our national team. The reason is that they have been telling lies (Not having any improvement, our national team is still the 75th team in the ranking now). How many time have thay told you that they "are improving" our national team? Some experienced player should know undoubtedly. I have played sokker for 2 years and I have been listening to their lies for the WHOLE 2 years. Therefore, vote for me. I can lead our national team to road to successes!
Thanks!

press release of charles920!!

Oh my god!! this really shocked me!! Charles920, how can you say about me and other foreign coaches that we are liars ? What is your contribution for HK NT in these 2 years ? How many HK players are you training for the NT ?

Do you know what means for me to stay day by day or night by night to manage an own database ? Do you know how to mobilize users for training HK players ? Do you know what means to talk almost daily with HK users and U21 coach about players, skills, tactical schemes, suggestions etc ?

Do you know to explain every lost match of the NT ?

I tell you a simple answer. You don't know any of these things.

What do you know about improvements ? I will answer you: NOTHING!! Because I don't see any contribution of you for HK NT. Please, keep your dignity and don't tell us your totally wrong opinions.

Improvements doesn't mean a good place in NT general ranking!!! Improvements means: good training, important updates of players, managing a database, mobilizing more users to open youth schools and to train HK players and then, good results.

Do you know something mr. charles ? I'm doing 80 % of the NT work and 20 % represent the help from staff and users that trains HK players and give me their support for NT and suggestions, even they have limited time!! I'm understanding them, but I will never understand you. So please, keep your dignity and don't come here with your unuseful "opinions". Good luck to you!!

To charles, I do not put much faith in you since you have too little experience in working with 'decent' players. Try to promote to the 1st division and if you stay there a couple of seasons, I'll be convinced about your ability.

To ARSENE_WENGER, to me It's important to strike a right balance between results and training and I think it is slightly tilted towards training right now. If you have time and take a look at the line-up and results of Hong Kong in 2009 (especially starting from June) you'll know what I mean. (Players then are about 10 years younger so those 32/33-year-old are 22/23 back then).

Then the downfall comes because of NT mismanagement and/or lack of good young players (or people don't train our players properly). But now things are different with those good young players (because we now have local diligent managers doing the training) and maybe it's about time to try getting back the glory in 2009.

Turkey 5-0 Hong Kong

That was a good test for WCQ stage. The final score says all: Turkey is a very powerfull NT, but we need to trust in our chance (as little is it) in the next 2 matches against them. Our objective is to take 3-4 place in the group (if our NT doesn't qualify to World Cup). I've promised that I will try to qualify the NT at WC but we must be realistic: Turkey and Scotland are favourites to 1-2 places. But I have a strong winning mentality and I trust in our team.

Then the downfall comes because of NT mismanagement and/or lack of good young players (or people don't train our players properly).

here is not my fault. All that I've done in this season was to repair these. Is not enough for just 1 season to do that. So I hope that Charles will not make me liar. What I promised, I've done for the NT and I will do in next seasons and here is very important to have the HK community support, and from Staff too.

But now things are different with those good young players (because we now have local diligent managers doing the training) and maybe it's about time to try getting back the glory in 2009.

I'm perfectly agree with you mate, because this is very true. We will get back the glory from 2009 with patience. I promise that!

I think we actually perform pretty well against Turkey. The tactic works better this time perhaps because the midfield was positioned in a way such that the passing path between the Turkish midfielders are blocked while we get space.

And I was not blaming on you (or anyone else) on "NT mismanagement and/or lack of good young players (or people don't train our players properly)" I was just sharing my observation and trying let you and other people know more about the situation in case you (and others) don't.

yes I know what you say and I've understood the situation. Your opinion is true and my job is to repair the situation with my work at the NT (and all support from users that are training HK players and the STAFF).

Now I'm studying our opponents from WCQ stage group. Is a difficult group but we can finish in one of the 3th or 4th places. In the round 2 and 3 we will play, successive, against Turkey and Scotland. We need to try to obtain points in these difficult matches.

Norway 2-1 Hong Kong!! we were so close to a big surprise :(( Norway had the SAME luck as Malta :((((( they beaten us in 90 minute :(((

I used an interesting tactic in the 1st half and worked very well!! so we still hope to make great matches vs Turkey or Scotland in WCQ stage!!

It should be: We are lucky but not lucky enough.
