We are pleased to announce the introduction of the brand new Sokker design to everyone. Tomorrow we will try to make the change, so be prepared! We hope you will like it as much as we do!
We hope the change will be fast and painless, but as always there is a risk of downtime. Should this occur, transfer deadlines will be extended.
The new design is a big and fundamental change with completely new interface files (with refreshed html and xhtml used). Unfortunately as a result of the new design, old skins will no longer be compatible with Sokker. However, when creating new skins it will be possible to do much more of them, and even have them setup for different screen resolutions.
With the new design we would also like to introduce a new feature: Google maps location. With this extension you will be able to enter your location and look for friends (or rivals) in your neigbourhood! You can find the feature by clicking on your username (on your team page) and then on "Location" in the upper right of the screen. This will be the only new feature for now, but when the new design is completely up and running we will work on further improvements and new features.
Even though we have extensively tested the new design, it is possible there may still be some bugs and issues with it. Please report any in the bug forum, with one topic per problem.

i havent really notice the new design, though i use miniopera from cellphone so maybe it's more visible from standard browser?
no, at the moment they are running both versions (new and classic) together, but on different servers. If you log in to sokker.org you will see the classic lay out. If you want to use the new design, you have to log in to http://newscripts.sokker.org :)

The main problem is that the new design was made for higher resolution screens. It seems it is quite crappy on low resolution, but various managers are already making own skins to make it look better :)

yes yes ... once again the most hated time of the year by Staff Members and managers of smaller nations ...
Rules
1/ Asking for votes by sokker mail is NOT ALLOWED. All managers who receive such mails, should copy paste them into a new mail and send them to the responsible Staff Member. For Indonesia, that is me. Do NOT post them on the forum, mail is enough.
2/ If you want to candidate, there is only 1 way to ask for votes and that is by creating a topic on this forum (Sokker Indonesia) with this title: "[NT] your nickname".
3/ These topics will only be allowed from tomorrow on (00h01min sokker time).
4/ Candidates do NOT post in each others topic to ask questions or to insult. Only native managers are allowed to ask questions to the candidates by posting in their topics. The candidate can then reply to these questions by posting in the topic. The only times other candidates can post in other candidates' topic is to wish them good luck and after the elections are over to congratulate them.
5/ If the Indonesian community feels the need to discuss the candidates, they can open a topic "[NT] Discussion" where they can discuss the candidates. Once again, none of the foreign managers (candidating or not) has the right to post in this topic.
6/ If you don't candidate and you're not Indonesian, you don't post anywhere on this forum's election related topics. There is 1 exception: If the candidate clearly mentions you as part of his NT staff (in case he/she is elected), you can present yourself in the [NT] topic of the manager you will assist.
Punishments
The Staff is very strict concerning Election stuff, as we want to protect the local community of smaller nations against massive spamming. Thus the basic rule concerning punishments is an immediate 1 day ban from the forum. Of course, this will be more days when you have a history of similar "crimes".
