langhe to All
Speech

About myself - personal
My name is Stijn De Langhe (that's where i derived my nick 'langhe' from). I am a 20 year old man, living in Belgium. During the week I study in Brussels (Europe's capital) and during weekends, I return home to Bruges. As i said, I'm a student, and I study Bio - engineering (3rd year).
My hobbies are watching (and playing with friends) soccer and rugby. I also love reading, playing games on my PC and going out with my friends. And of course I like playing Sokker ;)

About myself - Sokker related
I am the manager of a team called 'langhes' which I created back in 2004. I started playing in 5th division. click here to see my history Last (current) season was my best so far. I just promoted to Belgium's 2nd division after winning 2-3 and I reached the quarter finals of Belgian Cup (in which I lost 0-1 to Abaddon's Chosen, Belgium's multiple Cup and League winner).
Next to my Sokker carreer, I'm also Moderator on Sokker. So I spend quite some time on this game.
This experience, together with my experience as scout for Belgian NT (when Pauwel and Maqoma were coach) and the help I gave tove (ex-NT-coach of this country) made me realise it was time for a new challenge: become NT-coach myself. And as I have experience with this country (thanks to tove) and the fact tove couldn't candidate this time, made me decide to run for NT-coach of your country, Indonesia.

Why Indonesia
See previous paragraph

Language problem
Yes, a serious matter. I do not speak, nor understand your language. That is why i need a staff. tove understands your language a bit, so that is allready a help. But I'm confident that most of you understand English. Anyway, I'd look for someone to translate little texts (match previews, ...) from English to your native language.

Goals/objectives
I won't promise you the World Cup. I tend to be realistic. But I think Indonesia could be ranked higher. The key is tactics. I learned creating tactics from Hellsangel (previous NT coach of Belgium and Nederland, coached Belgium to WC final). It's thanks to him that I'm able to have nice results last season. I think a spot around rank 60 would be possible within some seasons.
Another of my goals is to attract more people from your country to their National Team, but I'll need your help for this. I have some ideas (they worked in Belgium as well).

Strong points
At the end I want to rehearse my strong points:
- time
- experience
- will work with ex-NT-coach tove
- active on International Forums

Last but not Least
I defeated 2 teams from div II in national cup, 2 teams from Div I, also in national cup, pure on tactics :)

My vote goes for you.

about translating match preview, well if you can find someone to translate then good (just dont use translate tool, its really horrible :p), but if you cant..i think you can just write it in english..most of us understand it, as long as its simple and not a book type :D

i have a question, since you promote to 2nd division, do you think you can manage your time for Indonesian NT and to compete in your league?

well anyway, im voting for you and as long as you don't promise us a World cup medal then i trust you :p

This season won't be great for my own team, so I'll focus on Cup (keep sponsors satisfied). So that makes I'll have important matches on Saturday (NT) and Wednesday (Cup), which leave enough time between them to create tactic, talking with crew about players, ...
2007-10-15 22:10:41
ok then, good luck :)
2007-10-16 07:48:52
if in a qualification group consist of 8 team.. in which ranking you could promise indonesia will settle after a final round..?

Interesting question.
Last time, qualification groups for the World Cup were only with 6 nations. But new Nations receive their National Team Squad this season. Making groups of 7 teams would be a possibility, but that makes 6 additional weeks of games, which is almost half of a season. Currently, WC and qualification allready takes 2 seasons, so i don't think they will choose for this ... but i guess they'll just create some extra groups. Another possibility is playing only 1 game (now its home and abroad).

1. Polska 10 10 0 0 132-4 30
2. México 10 6 1 3 43-32 19
3. Eesti 10 6 0 4 34-38 18
4. Österreich 10 4 1 5 29-29 13
5. República Dominicana 10 2 0 8 5-76 6
6. Indonesia 10 1 0 9 10-74 3
If I have a look at last season's group, I think it was impossible to take much more points. In fact, the game against Eesti was won by luck (their coach was banned).
Of this group, the first 3 teams are unbeatable for Indonesia, but those are great moments to try out new tactics. The games against Osterreich ... I think a point should have been possible if we had some luck on our side. And the games against Rep. Dom. should at least give us 3 or 4 points.
Not enough to qualify for next round, and these wouldn't boost Indonesia's ranking. That is why I'd join friendly tournaments such as 'young nation's cup' where we play against more levelled opponents. But I think this won't happen this season, as the World Cup is over, and this season will start with Qualification games.

Dude, one question!
How many season are you willing / planning to become Indonesian NT coach?
Coz i think the Nt coach should be in charge about 3 season minimum.
(Oh, if you already answer my question in your speech, i'm very sorry coz i'm logging in from internet cafe and i dont have a lot of time (actually money :P) to spend so i didn't read your speech :P)
2007-10-16 12:26:55
a doctor with no money? are you sure? :p

you must be fake doctor :D
2007-10-16 12:51:23
in fact: 2 would be nice
1 with qualifiers
1 with the actual world cup (and friendly tournaments, as we will most likely not make to the WC ;) )

and 2 seasons are enough to make some progression.
2007-10-16 13:12:12
yes a normal NT season is 2 seasons :)

if we were in same group with new country i think 6 point should be able we took from them...

and again relatively equal opponent like dominica... or someone else.. we should get a point to..

but from your opinion it's seem we will still hard to took point....

my another objective.. from last qualification... from 10 match we conceded 74 goal equal to 7 for each match could we reduce it.. :D.. and only scored 10 means 1 for each match could we added it...

and how your approachment for this one

About new countries: it depends. If a local becomes NT coach, he mostly doesnt know a lot about tactics, and then we should take 6 points. But if those managers elect a decent manager (e.g. 'De Generaal' in INdia), it isnt that easy to take 6 points. But then we should take the points because we have better players (Indonesian NT is older, so better trained than new occuring countries).

The fact i say taking 1 point might be hard is because qualification games start quite early. So if they have a new coach, it is hard to find some returning patterns in his tactics (as he will only have played 2 or 3 games). So I wont say we cant win, but I prefer always considering the worst could happen.

About last qualification.
74 goals conceded: a lot, might be a bit lower, but 0-15 results against poland aren't weird at all ... Playing 10 defenders won't work, as they are better and will surely find the chances to score.
10 goals scored: in fact, about 6 of them were against Eesti with a banned coach. 10 goals in this group were what every coach could hope for with current teams. With strikers like Suheri and Krisjiando, Indonesia has decent strikers, but they won't be able to do any damage against teams like Eesti, Polska, ...

that's the point 4 season of training should be resulted a better player..

just like eesti that easily beat us..cause they have more more better player..

taking 3 point from new country should be or a must.. :D if not there's probably wrong in tactical choice

true, or random :)
