Thanks axper, we came very close indeed.. New tactic worked quite well imo ;)

5 goals out of less than 8 decent opportunities for Spain.. we got ass kicked on efficiency today :( Think we deserved more than this..

Harsh result indeed :/ But a useless draw might have been even more annoying.

Anyway, still being in for the 2nd place at this point in this group has already been a great performance I think.

1 out of 15 against our main opponents isn't good imo :p

The difference between top 4 and the other 3 countries was a bit too big.. Winning against those weak opponents was rather piece of cake (anyone would've won these games I guess..) whereas it was almost impossible to grab some points against the other 3 teams. 4th place was like meant to be :p

I just watched the match... it was really very undeserved defeat...but still great work you did mate !

Yeah well 1/15 looks not exactly glorious, but if you consider having had 27:32 shots in the three matches against Spain/Uruguay, it could have easily turned out different. I mean, there might be a difference in striker class, but still... I'd say Hrvatska is out of range if they don't make a huge tactical blunder.

And I'd also say that with Uruguay you got probably one of the worst choices of pot 3. Let it be Shqipëria or Belarus or something and the chances increase a lot.

Indeed, we were quite unlucky sometimes.. Considering the current strength of Hayastan, you'll always need that bit of luck to go all the way despite having a shitload of experience on tactical level. I admit I often made some tactical errors, though.. But briefly I'm quite happy with the performance, we came close.. but not close enough unfortunately :p

Again bad luck today.. I'm getting used to it :p

I am definitely quiting as NT coach this time axpers.. I've had a very good time out here leading this national team to some nice victories. I might come back some time but at the moment I'm out of motivation here and I'm participating the elections in Belgium.. I needed a new challenge ;-) Anyway, I'm convinced we haven't seen it all yet from this national team considering the relatively young aged squad which has quite some potential to achieve beautiful things in the future! I honestly believe Hayastan isn't yet where it's supposed to be.. I'm always willing to help the new coach out in the first weeks (Fanakick might try it here) and I wish him the best of luck!

So it is and I'm trying it again here. :) I also needed two attempts in Shqipëria so that might be a good sign ;) Most of what I said some pages earlier is still valid, especially

The reasons I'd like to be coach here:
- an active community
- challenge with a lower ranked team
- the young and promising squad

My references
- almost 7 years of Sokker experience
- 2 seasons coach of Shqipëria NT (including WC participation)
- 2 seasons coach of Schweiz NT (including WC participation with draw against later winner Eesti)
- club team in the top division (Nationalliga A) of my domestic country

Goals have slightly changed since we are ahead of season of friendlies. This is an ideal situation to concentrate on the ranking. I've been out of ranking business for a season so I'm not quite sure how big a gap of 150 pts (to rank 48) is effectively, but if we deliver good results we could possibly get in the 3rd pot which would be a huge advantage for the WCQ. Carna did already an awesome job here, if I remember correctly the team was ranked in the high 60s (or even 70s?) when he took over, now Hayastan is on 54. I'd like to continue that way and I'd be very glad to have your trust :)
