The first match in the Mini WC is a real difficult one. Uruguay is in mine eyes the favorit in our poule. Though we are not totally chanceless and if we have a bid of luck maybe we can supprise.

This is a difficult match as Uruguay rates more or less 10 more than our NT but it's not impossible.Hope we will get something from this game

Tactics are almost ready. I've had some valuable reviews which i take seriously and will use in the match against Uruguay. It went wrong as i was playing too offensive with Malta, midfielders could not reach Cortis and ofcourse didn't put the conditional order to replace red card player.

It's obvious we play differently against Uruguay, but don't say to much about at this time.

I watched the match, I think we gave to much space infront of our left side defence having Blake advanced on the wing.

I agree with the gap not with the solution.
I think Blake has to be even more offensive then he was. Now the was allways defended. I think we have to use the other mids to close this gap.

Our defence is not to good, so I think we have to try to play a bid more of the goal.

Uruguay did take some risk but it payed good out for them.

sincerely the defensive tactic sucks. the defenders in the last box where too up and too far from each other. for some strange reasons the full backs kept on advancing alone by one box leaving the 3 others flat and we were caught with through passes like 7/8 times.

IMO Blake was just wasted and we just kept a player there for nothing giving them an advantage of playing with an extra player.

I am going to be very sincere and say that these problems were already noted in the private NT forum but still MVB decided to leave the defence almost as it was.

Against teams much stronger than us we cant go and play that openly. The first priority is not to conceed goals and not to try to experiment with something new against such strong teams.

We expected to lose but not in this way.

The start was not good at all , two games 9 goals against and still no goals scored.

I hope things improve in the next matches cause again I am being very sincere but the defensive bit of the tacics really sukcs! Again, my advice is not to be so adventurous against such teams or next game we ll end up losing by double the goals!

I agree the left wing def was constantly to late and did let the striker many times trough.

However if you have no players in front of the field all the balls you take off from the other team they are back in no time on your defs again. About Blake I agree he did lost all balls only one not.

I did speak to the Indian coach and he did agree with me that the winger/ striker combination of Republica dominicana is the streight of that team. So I think in next match we have to work on defend those players really well.

I have made some notes what we can discuss on the tactical forum.

Definately the defence really needs to be set up properly. Thats should be our priority.

Well, this week i listened to all your opinions in the private NT forum and implemented them as i thought was needed after the big lost against RD. I don't like to read this.

The only choice we really argued about was the defense line one step back (let Uruguay shoot from close) or not (shoot from far).

Again, i don't like to see this comment which i think is very easy now since the results are known.

since your post is mainly referred directly to me, I am going to answer to your question very frankly.

YOU DID NOTHING of what everyone told you in the private forum and if you want we paste all the communications to tell everyone that we told you more than once about being too offensive however YOU STILL kept the defence very advanced, YOU STILL kept blake very offensive, YOU STILL left the defenders very well apart.

as you said yourself and quoting "implemented them as i thought was needed after the big lost against RD" and that was the final result of implemented as you thought!

again as you well said you "listend to all our opinion" however you did as you thought best and the result reflected you decision!

I know it is very easily to speak afterwards....infact WE TOLD YOU BEFORE what were the problems however you still did as you liked!! so dont blame us for speaking now cause what we are saying after the game we told you before the game and you know well! However your rt hand crazy_iwan told us that it is up to the NT coach to decided everything and I think we all agreed about that but that doesn't mean you dont listen to advices properly.

I am really sorry that once again we have started our NT mission on the wrong foot after the bad year we had last season (with all due respect to Mr_Maldini) and sincerely I hope you get MALTA back on track cause this is going to really reflect bad next season for the WCQ matches. However I am really afraid that you are just experimenting with our NT cause clearely it shows that after the first two matches you are just guessing tactics! I hope it is not the case!

From my side I decided not to comment anymore neither before and neither after the matches. I control my U21 nt and it is much more than enough and it already takes a lot of my time so I have no time to waste with sharing my opinions and than you come and tell me that I am more brave to speak afterwards.

Good luck for the rest of the season and I really hope you do well cause at the end what matters most for me is the NT and nothing else cause next year you might not be here and that means that for you it was just an adventure went bad but for us we will have to pay the repercussions of your mishaps.

Thanks

@ Fsoler. I am not going to say about right and wrong in your postes. I can get a lot of things you say here back in the topic you speak out. Only the way you are doing it is in mine oppinion a bid over the top. I can understand you are a bid frustrated that we did lost 2 games now. Sure Marco is responsible for this. He knows this and he will not walk away for it. Lets be honest he did saw some things else in front of the game then you did. Like we all agreed he is free in this. I did saw the game and got some errors in it. I am sure Marco does the same and will learn from it.

Let stop and playing things on the man personal for everyone. Just go and help eachother out. This is what we need right here.

As I said before I have the u21 to take care of and it is enough for me.

There is no need to comment any more from my part. What I had to say I said it cause I am a person that speaks out what I feel and thus it is more than enough.

I just watched the game. These is my opinion.

The result Uruguay - Malta 6:0. Big score, but not a suprise if you watch the number of managers at Uruguay (+600) compared with Malta. There also a gap of 10 raitingpoints in the game, that's alot! My advice first advice for the crew is that you take weaker countrys in the future. We can use a win now to boost our confidence :)

Something about the tactic. I personnaly like this formation and I would have played with a winger too. Uruguay played with 3 defenders so there was alot of space at the wing. The problem was that our wing (Blake) was to defensive and wasn't high enough on the pitch when he got the ball. So it was to easy to tackle him. Like others already said in this topic, the defensive part was poor. You always need to keep on moving your defence/ defencive playmakiers on NT level. Now it was easy to give passes through our defence, ..
