Subject: [color=blue][NT]U21[/color] MALTA U21

Hi,
I am the new U21 coach. I already know the players we have at our disposal. Not only for this season, but also for the next ones.
The conclusions are not very optimistic - it looks like we will not have a very strong lineup for the next WCQ.
There are several of us active users. We can take care of our national teams. Let's remember to:
- not waste young players
- focus on our young players (there are cool threads on the U16, U17, U18 forums... - post new players from the academy there, let people know that you want to sell them, etc. Maybe we'll be able to train potential national team players together)

These are not players. They are examples of how to waste players' potential. That is why we can work together to advise each other on how to train players for the team, but also to earn good money from them :D

I'm sure that this third player could have been a good striker with quite good defensive.

Malta U21 - Lëtzebuerg U21 4:0

The first friendly match was a big win. Nice start – it’s always good to begin like this.
We were able to check the potential of our U21 national team and it looks quite good so far.

In the first matches I’ll be testing some tactics and different options.
The situation is a bit worse with the next generation (for the next WCQ). If I have time and if it interests you, I can write about where we have gaps and what would be good to train.

Maybe we can start some kind of cooperation – everyone could train specific formations, or at least we keep each other informed about new juniors coming out of the academies and how to train them.
That would be nice. We have a few academies, so the potential of our national team can definitely be better

Malta U21 - Latvija U21 0:0

The second match was about testing new tactics. We had a clear advantage over the opponent, but the strikers’ finishing was poor. Shots were 11-0 in our favour, but no goals were scored

Malta U21 - Slovenija U21 0:1

It was a pretty even game, with a slight edge for our team. Sadly, our finishing just wasn’t there. Nine shots and no goals. The opponent took one of their four chances and ended up winning the match.

Severna Makedonija U21 - Malta U21 0:4

Nice win. We took control from the start and in the end deserved the victory. We managed to get very high ratings. We’re playing our best players because we hope to improve our ranking.

Malta U21 - Canada U21 0:0

And another draw where we created more chances than the opponent. I need to work on the tactics so our strikers get into better positions to finish the chances.

Malta U21 - Panamá U21 1:0

I always see a win against a higher-rated opponent as a positive. With that kind of advantage in chances, the score should have been higher, but that’s football. A win is a win, and we earn points for the ranking.
