Hola a todos!
I'm opening this post, to let you know about Honduras U21 during season 35! I will post every match we play, with my opinions and reasons about what I do.
Tonight, we played with Slovenija our first match. Probably I would had to choose a weaker opponent, but I was not interested about result.
In this week I tried to understand how many players we got, and what skills they have. At the moment, I don't know skills also of players that played with Slovenija. I hope to have more noticies in this days!

Well, now let's talk about the match!
I decided to try two tactics, one for first half and one for second half. 5 defenders (also with not a lot of defender skill), 3 mid, 1 striker (the only one we got at the moment, and after the match lesser injuried), and 1 mid like wing first half, and between striker and mids second half.
I don't like wings in U21, because I think they must be strong to help team, but I tried to see how was the player. Well, I think he do best things during second time, like I thought.
We take 5 goals, but I like how our defence do his work. If you see the match, you can see how we take goals: first goal from 40 metres (I've never seen a goal like this in sokker O_O), second and third are presents for the strikers from our GK (looking database, I see that we haven't good gk, but Vinelli is only 19yo so he will become stronger soon, for next season that we have WCQ), and the other two goals from the limit of the area with perfect shoots. We grant to opponents only one 1vs1, that Vinelli keep,
Next week we will play with Jamaica, that ihave a team like our. I've seen that two weeks ago we losed with them, so we must try to win!
Remeber, keep training honduras players, because they are our future, not ony for U21, but also for NT!

Was a tough match for us... Slovenia just had better players overall then us.
But like you said we need as many junior schools and trainers we can get for our Honduras players!

Here I am again! And this time I have good news for you ;-)
After 21 matches, Honduras U21 wins again a match! 3-0 with Jamaica, that beat us some weeks ago. We did a great match, 13 shots on target, and we grant to Jamaica only one big opportunity to score, but we were a little lucky this time! Another good thing is that we didn't score since 8 matches, and this time we did 3 goals!
I changed tactic, trying to create one good for our players, and I think all went like I wanted!
I'm not happy only for some simple assist that we fail, but probably is because we haven't a lot of players with high assist!
Next week we will play against Repubblica Dominicana, for sure I will try to keep the second win of my management :-)
Most of all, keep training honduras U21 players ;-)

We played against Republica Dominicana, that is only one position lower than us in ranking!
We win 3-1, playing a really good match with 3 goals and some goal's occasions. We grant only one big opportunity to score to our rivals, and they scored, but only because they have a striker that is really hard to stop (he scored after dribblings to our defensive mid and ALL our defenders that were waiting him..).
About us, I'm afraid for injury of Cuellar, because we got only 4 defenders and for next match I have to find a solutcion..
We had to play against South Korea, but today when I go to his homepage to invite for the match, I've seen that the manager accept another friendly!
So now I'm searching another U21..

Last friday we played with Senegal, that is a good team, 8 positions higher than us on ranking.
I decided to play with 3 ATT, also because we had some problems with Mids. But I saw how Senegal defends, and in my opinion, 3 ATT could be good!
First half I played with a type of 5-2-3 , and second half with a real 4-3-3.
Well, I like how our players played, the only think that I don't like is how high were our ATT.. Senegal's defence was too low, more that I expected, and this thing didn't help our ATT, that are not great in technique and soffer a low defence :-)
But I've seen something good that I have to improve :-) And another important thing is that we didn't take goal ;-)
Next week we will play with Andorra, we will see ;-)

Well, for me is not a really good morning, because I've seen that we have lost match with Andorra (17 positions higher than us on ranking) and I have to talk about a defeat after 3 good results.
I saw the match two times, and I will see it a lot of times too, because I want to understand tactical errors and what I can change to help our players to do the best, but I can say that result is not really truthful..
Andorra is stronger than us (3,3 points difference, 46,9 - 50,2), but watching the match, difference is between our ATT and their ATT. In fact, our DEF didn't stop their ATT really often, but their DEF stopped our ATT almost always.. *_*
So, let's talk about the match!
I decided to play again with 4-3-3, because I wanted to see how we could play with this tactic with a stronger rival. I put our ATT higher because Andorra's defense is really low, and I like how our ATT moved. We created some occasions to score in 1vs1 with their GK (one keeped and one out) and some shots in penalty area that went out or keeped by their GK (we take also a crossbar..).
I don't like how Yuri Lopez played in front of our defence, he had to help our 2 central DEF, but he didn't.. He was almost always out of his position, because Andorra's MID bring him out, but in my tactic were Discua and Carvajal that would have to do this work.
How we take goal? Simple:
1 gol: their ATT dribbled 3 DEF (also Gaitan that is our best DEF) and scored;
2 gol: Gaitan didn't remove the ball from our penalty area, and their ATT take the ball and score with a shot from the limit;
3 gol: their ATT received ball at the limit of our penalty area between 5 our DEF, but he turned and shooted on goal;
4 gol: they had a 1vs1, Vinelli keeped, after that the other Andorra's ATT tried a tap-in, but his shot was too slow. Vinelli decided that he didn't want to keep a slow shot, so he do a present to ATT that scored.
In my opinion, I think that we deserve to score at least one gol, maybe two, but Andorra did a nice match and merit to win and score 4 goals. Maybe, 2-4 would be the right result.
Next week we play with Nigeria, without Discua that is our best player because he is disqualified, but I will invent something :)
I want to return to win!

Here I am to talk about our last match!
We played against Philipinas, that are 23 positions higher than us on ranking.
We played a good match, better than our rivals, but we didn't score one more goal to win the match.
I'm happy about how we played, and I think that the tactics we used was good, because I knew that philipinas would played with 3 def and 4 central mid, so I decided to put Discua in a position to protect Yuri Lopez and our defenders, and others 2 mids a little large to play in empty positions of the football field.
We failed 2 1vs1 with Philipinas GK, and this is a pity. Instead, they did only one 1vs1 and score.. It's the game ^^
The only thing that I don't like, is how we conceded goal: one error of our def, that didn't stop a simple pass, and one because their ATT arrived to the ball (in the GK area) before than DEF and GK..
I'm trying to do everything possible to avoid this type of goals, but I also know that with players with not good skills is difficult..
But is not a problem, if you see our matchs we always try to play better than opponent, not only defence and hope to don't concede goal :) and our defence defends good!
Now we start with difficult matchs, next match will be against Ukraina.
I want to see what we can do with stronger rivals :)

We played a good match, better than our rivals, but we didn't score one more goal to win the match.

I'm not happy, I've seen some things that never happened in last match: it's incredible how our defenders and mid didn't stop their att, i've seen series of also 6-7 tackles and we didn't bring the ball! Ok that Indonesia is a good team, but it's incredible!
Their first goal comes in this way, their att wins 4 tackles and go in 1vs1 with our gk O_O
Second and third goal come from a shot from the limit of the area, so I haven't a lot to say, only that their att did a good work..
Our att did a good work, we did 11 shots on goal and 4 1vs1, but no one become a goal :-( we score with an head shot from a cross..
I'm starting to play every match with less 21yo, to prepare our players for WCQ of next season: I have to say the truth, we will have only 1 good striker, and no good defenders, but we will find a way to play ;-)
Next week we will play against Cuba, that is another team stronger than us and with a higher ranking. But this will prepare us for next season :-)
