New team acceptance changes
We have changed the way the application for new teams are examined. Previously if a new user registered to Sokker they had to wait until an admin accepted their applications until they got a team and could log on. Depending on when applications were accepted previously, it might take even up to a few days. As there were delays only 40% of users logged in to their teams after they got their team approved (probably they even forgot that they registered on some game and the team mail was treated as spam :).
With modified teams acceptance they will be able to log on just after they confirm their registration by clicking on link in the mail (of course if there are free teams in the country). They will have their team created, so will be able to set up the squad, set training, watch matches and so familiarize with Sokker. New users, until admin fully accept their application, will have limited rights, the following will not be allowed:
- write in forum or vote in forum polls
- write email
- buy plus
- sell/buy or advertise player
- bid on trainer
- vote in elections or candidate for NT
- bet on match in TV Studio or write comment
- join as friends of other users
We hope that with this change we can increase the amount of users who log in to sokker after team acceptance.

Am schimbat modul prin care sunt verificate cererile pentru echipe noi. Până acum, când un utilizator nou se înregistra pe Sokker trebuia să aştepte până când cererea sa era acceptată de către un admin, înainte să primească echipă şi să se poată conecta. În funcţie de momentul precedent în care cererile erau acceptate, durata de aşteptare putea ajunge chiar şi la câteva zile. Astfel, din cauza întârzierilor, doar 40% din utilizatori se mai conectau după ce primeau echipa ( probabil chiar uitau că s-au înregistrat pe vreun joc iar mailul primit era considerat spam ).
Cu noul mod de acceptare al echipelor aceştia se vor putea conecta imediat ce vor confirma înregistrarea, accesând un link din mail ( bineînteles, doar dacă sunt echipe libere în ţara respectivă ). Echipa fiind creată, ei vor avea posibilitatea să stabilească primul unsprezece, să seteze antrenamentul, să vizioneze meciurile şi să se familiarizeze cu Sokker-ul. Totuşi, până când un admin le va accepta definitiv cererea, noii utilizatori vor avea acces limitat. Astfel, aceştia nu vor putea:
- să posteze sau să voteze pe forum.
- să trimită mesaje
- să cumpere pachetul plus
- să vândă/cumpere jucatori ori să le facă reclamă
- să liciteze pe antrenori
- să voteze în cadrul alegerilor sau să candideze la naţională
- să facă pronosticuri sau să posteze în secţiunea Studio TV
- să facă pacturi cu alţi utilizatori
Sperăm ca prin această modificare să putem creşte numărul de utilizatori care se conecteaza pe Sokker după ce primesc echipa.

On Thursday 04-11-2010, there was a fire in electrical installation of the hosting provider we have server for pictures. It caused sudden shut down of many servers and some file system or hardware damages. Unfortunately, drive on Sokker server appeared to be corrupted. We have restored from back up skin and other various Sokker files, but user pictures and logos are lost, it wasn't backed up as data on external server. You have to upload it again from your computer.
How to recover pictures
If you don't have that file already, don't panic, your Internet browser probably stored in file cache. Just search drive (go 'C' drive usually and press CTRL+F on Windows, if you are Linux system user you know for sure:) for files like:
userID_photo_big
userID_emblem_big
where ID is, this is your user ID on your user configuration page. For example for user ID 100, the files names are:
user100_photo_big
user100_emblem_big
If you don't have it on computer, ask anyone that may visited your page - eg. league opponents.
Larger pictures
We have extended picture size now so you can upload bigger photos and it will be displayed as popup in full size after clicked.
IP change may cause some DNS problems.
As there is a new server, IP has changed and not everyone can see pictures and skins and are able to upload again. It may take up to few days for all your DNS servers (servers that translate domain name to IP) will get updated.
Plus compensation
As compensation for inconvenience, 3 days of plus will be added to all plus user subscriptions. We will add it next Thursday so if you have just planned to buy plus you get extra 3 days also.
