Subject: »7170 managers in Sokker!
I don't believe lay-out or something is a problem. Maybe the game is just too difficult for a lot of starting managers and the progress doesn't go fast enough... Then people quit... Can you blame sokker for that... Not for the 100 % I think. Maybe a decent guide or start-kit FROM SOKKER ITSELF, with videos, etc... for newbies would help... And that would help to grow the number of users and to keep the ones who register.
I don't know a lot of economics, but taking care of new customers (why not a month PLUS for newbies (sokker won't lose anything with that) and a decent digital guide to start with explanation of training, etc...?) seems an important rule where sokker even doesn't care...

I tried to ge a lot of friends (from HT) to sokker. Most of them quit soon.
The reason why was not the layout, for them it was to difficult or to timeconsuming to learn.
Sokker is not a quick game, most people want quick games. I believe that is one of the biggest reasons.
On the other side, i sign in for many games. most of them i leave within a day. almost never for lay-out reasons. But just because the game is not what i am looking for.
This is my third team in sokker. The first time i was here for around a month. the second time i did not log in after my application. Just because i could not care enough to take the time for it. Would i stay those times with an other layout? certainly not, would i stay when there was somethinge else different? propably not...
I read here a lot of different reasons. Most of the reasons are just a personal vission of what they do not like. They have nothing to do with reasons of other people.

Yeah, that's all great, bravo...but tell me one thing - why do people actually STAY in other managers, while they leave sk? And it's not because sk started later - no, there are lots of games that started after sokker. For example Goalunited has made the 100k milestone long time ago.
No wonder, HT gets more and more complicated too, especially for beginners.
No wonder, older users deteriorate and there are less and less new users, also there are more and more other football managers available. What does it have in common with what I've said earlier, because I don't get your point?
I'll give you my input into why I stayed. I actually found sokker by accident. I was looking for a Football Manager online game. When I stumbled upon sokker, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it was close. I checked out about 7-8 other online soccer games but none of them had a 2D match engine. This definitely motivated me to put more effort into sokker. That is the most important feature of sokker for me. It was tough to get into it because it is so hard to sort out all of the details of training, youth school, tactics, & transfers. I spent hours reading on forums and newbie guides until I finally understood it all. I recruited a friend of mine in California but after 2 times logging in he has not returned. It is because there is so many details to figure out, that many do not find it worth it. Finding a game with a 2D match engine made all the work worth it to me. I've since found ultimatemanager.eu which also has a 2D match engine, but for the time being, I still like sokker better. I'm still keeping my account active at ultimatemanager.eu just in case that game eclipses this one.
So that is the reason for HT but not for SK?
Tell me why.

I told why people quit who i know. I answered the statement that other games keep their users with the statistic of HT that showes they are losing too.
I stay because i think sokker is one of the games that is not just one good tactic rules it all. I see a lot of users in this topic that were here in 2009 complaning too. I do not know what to think of that.
The reason why friends of my quit with SK and HT is that they become older and get jobs and wives and had not enough time anymore (or just thier interest in these kind of games slipped away).
But i rest my case. I see a lot of 'reasons' here from the same people in other complainingthreads. It looks like a lot of people thinks that all quiters thinks only like that without any confirmation of them or investigation.
(No i do not do the same, i only tell what i know from my friends, i do not extrapolate that to all quiters.)

Sigh...we're not talking about older users resigning, but new users not joining the game, even after registering...
I answered the statement that other games keep their users
lol. I meant that goalunited managed to get to 100k easily, even though they started after sokker. same with other manager games.

LOL did you even read my first post... i told there why some of my friends who i introduced to sokker did not stay.
Sokker is not easy and it is timeconsuming. A lot of other games are much faster and easier to get succes.
How complex is that goalunited? How much time does it take to build up a good team?

It doesn't matter. Please try to understand that 90% of new user log in once, or twice. Therefore it has nothing to do with slow improvement of team.

It has to do with that they see it is not an easy game. You do not need much time to see how the game works. I told you this is my third attempt. Because of this reason. I told you that a lot of HT friends after signing in decided not to play because of this reason.
But i will let this topic go, you do not even read what i am posting. Waste of time for me.
