Can't go that fast. To me it looks like some staffmembers didn't do their job that well lately and now all of the sudden started to delete inactive managers ... ;(

Delete me too, Delete me too!

No wait, delete the other 539 Managers in Germany, delete them all!

Can't be the main reason imho.. I mean when I started Hattrick there was not a real chance to get to the top divsions within 15 seasons or so - unless you would trade excessively. Still that didn't stop thousands from joining/playing then.

It would be interesting to know whether the quit rate is actually that high atm or if there are just no new users joining (with new users I mean those who log in more then 0/1 times). I think you would have to play for several weeks at least to realize that there is a quite a difference between top and bottom division)

Indeed :)

The main problem is that to many don't continue after registation, so there is a different reasons why they never login again after the first time.

Its happening in all games, not just sokker. Generations of people change. In the early 2000s online manager games and such were something new and popular, now in the 2010s the new generations of internet users rather do something else, and the users that used to play games like these, got married, families, jobs, etc. Some are still playing with families and jobs, etc but others just left.

So its not a sokker thing, its a generation (of users) thing.

Example: Look at the arcades back in the 80s, they were popular and full of people playing there, now take a look at them nowdays. Most arcade places no longer exist and those that still exist arent as popular as back in the 80s.

I think it's a very simple thing indeed.

I have been playing this game a lot of time. But my first 3 seasons were veery boring.
Why? Because matches were a nonsense and players did really bad. Why I keep there? Well. I put on "autopilot" (training the team, making money, then selling). After the "creation money" process, then i start to make a playable team.

Then i got the funny thing.

And after years.. I am getting a bit bored /sick of the game because it has the same bugs/features,

I can do a extensive list, but i would give (IMHO) the basic list.

1.- Very early start. Players are very incompetent at start. Tactics are not working for the engine and a player must do a viable tactic when "playable" players starts. Too much stuff and a boring one.
SOLUTION: Change de engine (players know how to pass reasonably or to tackle more or less competent and have a logical speed) or get a higher star for player to get a viable match (for example, start playing with equivalent a outstanding defences with no secondaries, mids with 3xexcellent and things lije that... to see some of playing..) -> You cannot have a newbie to starvate one year to "view" something.

2.- Change the training way. The market has too many power. One way to be higher is to buy/sell. Not as in hattrick, but players seeking sokker doesn't want hard-ass buy/sell strategy because they are SOKKER players.
A good training scheme (22 players, you choose what skill to train regardless of position) with a slower increase or capacity to train to skills at a time. This will put in the hands of players the trade-off on very specialiced player (one with one or perhaps two skills very high) or a more all-around. And with little need to go to the market. This option goes well with one (higher start).

3.- Put the hands on the MATCH-ENGINE and no wait for these. It has no sense to strikers being out-of-bounds in a goalie kickoff, for example. There shouldn't not be overpowered tactics like one wing and strikers with 5 defences which are unnatural in real football. Players should be smarter and shouldn't not be a defence running alone all the match, for example. A newbie thinks that football simulations "simulates" a real football match. But a sokker match has not the same component. Do not overpower keepers. Do not overpower anything really. The match engine should be a machine in constant evolutions and has no notorious changes (and a lot of tweaks like a striker alone yuo the keeper failin miserably) since a lot of seasons..

So we want more players... But, think. If you would leave your team in sokker. Then you wanted to return... will you return to this game or think?.. bufff a lot of time to get some funny on this game... I have been playing for years. I like this game, but i liked it more than today. And i'm sure that if i leave this game i won't return because it will get me a lot of time to get a funny team and dispute some matches. Really i'm boring of randomness in high divisions (injuries, cards, weird engine). This is what actually ruins me the experience. The 3D match players has little impact on me (nice look, but same engine...)

Because I am 16 I think that I can tell you what sokker needs to attract more young managers .
First of all , new design for the site , no themes , One attractive Design !
Second free team logo for everyone because young people like customisation , and if they start and get excited with such things they won't stop in the future so you can have new sokker plus subscribers !

Point 1, new managers need to buy better players and sell/fire those who are too bad to keep. Can easily be solved: How to get started with Sokker tutorial. Here you go ...

Point 2 makes no sense, there will be way to many star players and all teams will look the same. That won't be fun anymore.

And point 3 ... please read the news article before posting these things!!

Seems that number of players started to grow slowly after the latest changes... but the growth is not as fast as it could be. This is for one simple reason: this kind of major update should be followed by some promotional actions. Advertising, maybe encouraging players to vote for Sokker in online game lists (there is a separate topic about that). But I don't see any actions like this. That's a pity as the new visualisation is a chance for Sokker. Also - as Khr1s wrote - new attractive site design would help. Maybe also new player faces - this was good idea but they look so caricatural that I had to turn them off.

I agree, let us have free logo for everyone, that would help a bit.

Some things are for Plus only and should stay that way. Servers need to be paid to make Sokker possible.

If managers want a logo, buy Plus, or become a promoter and earn free Plus or invite new managers and ask them to fill in their names in User that invite you: when register to Sokker or use the link www.sokker.org/?buddy=your_login and have a chance to earn free Plus.

All info can be found in the topic: FREE PLUS!.
