Subject: »7170 managers in Sokker!
One thing for sure, there is just too much information for a new beginner...
one of the most interesting things for me when I started was watching the games every week and then concluding "OK now I finally know how this game works"... but it just kept surprising me as there was a lot of depth in it (of course ME has to make sense for that to work)
learning doesnt have to be instant... I for example always never read any tutorials/forums at first in any game, as discovery is feeling that drives people at first... you want to win, not to be told how to win...its play buying Rubik's cube and going to watch video on internet how to solve it... WTF?!?!
even if i decide to join a game, but when i join I get bombarded with shitloads of info, i just cant be bothered to read/learn it all as I dont want another lecture, i came to relax and enjoy the game... and that tryhard bombardment just works the opposite way and i never look at that game once again...
i think a lot of simplifications have to be made for a standard new joiner with many optional features to be turned on as you get better (which appeals to those who want to be in control of everything)...
if they want the game to appeal to masses, they could have things like players already being classified as att/mid/def and only an indication of how good they are at that position (of course all players would have same skills as now, but it wouldnt be shown if you dont select that option)... this is only one of many examples of how it could be made much easier for beginer by not destroying the game for more advanced users
A lot could be done to make it easy to start... a big selection of standard and GOOD tactics is also a key thing since many, even old users still cant be bothered to create them (then again, those who want have that option to do it themselves).. in this case you would have to chose which one to use, which is also fun, and u wouldnt have to go through that annoying tactic creation process
I think now is the best time to make big changes once again, basically as 4g is coming to the world soon, this game could be a huge hit on mobile user market.... changing the interface is a must, that has been ignored for about 8 years now, which is way too long...
I mean for real this could mean big money for greg and co, i just dont get how they dont capitalize it... They could at least try to sell it as im sure there would be plenty of interest to take this opportunity..
(just like i did with my post now, trying to make it easier to read by separating my statements by double empty lines.. i know u think its stupid... but its just easier to read, and these things matter, no1 like the wall of text, and if u do u should have an OPTION to have it too... One size fits all is a way outdated approach nowadays)

It's great you have many ideas, but please post a summary in the Forum Bugs / Ideas (en) so they can be copied and post on the test server to show the DEVs. That's why this forum exists :)
I was only waiting for your answer :D if you are online, you are in every topic :D
And you were right :P
Although I'm not in every topic, just the ones that are important for Sokker and a few topics that I like or sometimes like ;)

ok, no all topics but topics which I'm tracking so I always see your name :D
I rather thought, that WHY are there SO many users in the waiting list...
I'm not sure, but aren't these the managers who didn't click the registration link which is send to them by email? As theoreticly there shouldn't be a waitinglist anymore as every new manager can login right away after signup (with limited access).
EDIT: typo :) I meant: shouldn't be a waitinglist anymore
