one thing is for sure, sokker can hardly grow... matches are boring and stupid on 50 average mark and below and most of players have below 50 mark teams... i cant imagine how stupid game looks to a new user whos making like 30 average mark... new users simply dont find match animation interesting(it was interesting to me when i started but that was long time ago)...

+1 This is exactly what the problem is. I already wrote several times about it. E.g. in this topic.

The quality gap between interesting level and beginner's level is far too wide. Most people are not persistent enough to play for 2 years to get to the interesting part where matches start to resemble to football matches.

The most simple and efficient solution to this problem would be to reduce the gap between lowest (tragic) and highest (superdivine) skill. However, older players jump on their back feet immediately when they hear about this idea. They have worked hard to get where they are now and they don't want to start losing games to users who play this game for less than 2 years.

And so we have a catch 22 for growth. We want new users but we don't want to give them what they want because it would annoy the existing users which are getting older and older and less and less.

interesting how there is user peak in august/september each year. i guess coming to end of summer or something and no schools around.
(people join at start of summer and team goes inactive in 2 months)

i wonder will we get same again...

maybe using one older match engine for lower leagues(or low mark matches) would solve this problem it would be more interesting to new users, and big boys would still be big :)...
