I think it's not specific to sokker. I looked at some manager games from the past and they all look bad. Even HT, first and most sucessfull, had 1M users, and now has less than 400m, steadly declining.
I think that maybe it's too slow for new users, they need years to be competitive. I think it's too much, maybe that's the problem of all manager games with this system. All of them are declining.

You are right, this is a fast world.
That's why sokker has to comply.
New users expect rapid success (whatever) to keep them involved for longer time. They could stop using the game anytime they FEEL unappreciated. It's 2014.

I think you have a point, and another problem is the number of these online manager games, there are lot of them.
I agree with you my friend, it's true, there are a loooot of them, I think that's one of the main problems here !!! :-(
This game is very good if you have patience, there are not many better games if you look at that.

Sokker has definitly some unique elements, but most new managers will never experience these because almost all of them never login again after signup and first login. So to them it is just one of many online soccer manager games.
I still think a good ingame tutorial could make the difference. Not only because Sokker isn't an easy game to learn and with such a tutorial new managers do get some difficult options explained, but also that way they will see more of Sokker as only 1 short login.
But one other problem that most probably will never be soved again are the graphics. The new layout is an improvement (unfortunatly they made 'Theme' too difficult to find while menu layout can really make a difference), but there are still many graphic things that need to be updated if Sokker wants to be an attractive 2014 game.
And indeed, I think you are right about that bad commerce. The negative vibes that Sokker had to deal with a number of times absolutely made a lot of managers leave, eventhough a lot of these negative vibes came from just a few managers because of their personal views/dislikes over a new implementation. And also the ongoing negative discussions/fighting that followed after new implementations often based on wrong data and/or sometimes even made up 'facts' absolutely harmed Sokker.
