Subject: Sokker International Cup
I hath had an idea that should make the next SIC a lot easier to run.
I'm thinking about splitting the tournament into 4 continental quarters and assigning 3 to assistants. Lets says Europe, South America, North America and Asia/Africa/Oceania. It'd sort out a lot of problems with language, time difference and would help people to not "forget" if they had an organiser for their area publicising the competition. It would also mean i could run this every season as it's far less of a workload.

I like it, and I could help If you go for this idea.
:)
If think we could run the first 2 rounds as closed between continents and then round 3 would be where everyone mixes. It'd be 128 teams per continent.
Thinking about that, i'm not sure how many users we'd get from Africa/Asia/Oceania. I can only think of 5 who registered from those areas.

mmm you should think about the number of teams, IMO, there should be more teams from Europe and The Americas.
And there could be a problem with the Americas because USA, Canada and some others Caribbeans countries speak English and South America speaks Spanish but Brazil speaks Portuguese :S

It has potential. I could quite easily say "It's up to you, i need 32 teams for Week 9" and you'd be free to decide how you go about selecting those 32. eg you could have a knockout competition, groups, a rolling knockout tournament or whatever.
DO yo uhave an adventage if you're name is in green?
