Subject: Fake Talent Warning

2008-05-11 15:53:36
Losing [del] to All
This is a warning for faked talent. I am not an expert at photoshopping, actually this is the 2nd time I tried. Still, it looks pretty real. You can see it is fake if you look close, but I am sure a experienced photoshopper could make this as real as in SK itself.

Tips:
Check if the talent is plausible
If there is editing in the picture, be cautious (like pointing out some things: can be harmfull, but at least the user knows how to do it)
Check the crossed lines. If they are perfectly straight, there is a big chance there is nothing to worry about.
If they are like my faked talent (2nd picture) not straight, never believe it.

If you are really not sure, ask users who have bought players in the near past from this user if he was right.

Original talent

Faked talent (even I could do better than this, just did not want to waste too much time :p)

it's really easy to fake talent, and in ways you will never notice any difference. The best way to see if he is really talented is by talking with the owner and see how serious he is.

And check the development of the player in ratings.

Very bad fake talent graph. You would have to be really stupid to believe that:P A while ago I made a fake screenshot which was much better.

hint: copy the talent of your most talent player, and put it in stead of the real graph. No colors change

Talent graphs are something you have to be careful of. In addition to faked graphs, 3rd party applications such as Apollo can produce incorrect talent graphs if they are not updated regularly.

As an example, I missed an update on Apollo and the result was Two week pop became a straight one week pop!

Correct Pops

Apollos Pace Pops
