hahaha, 2 years in the game, and that is your stadium. Don't make me laugh.
Morsey the money you have spent could have given you a twice as big a stadium with roof over some seats too.... you did it very wrong financially
don't you think your fans would prefer to have their roofed seats along the sidelines where they can acually see what's going on on the pitch?
Don't bother building stands unless you can do 2000!
I like my stadium... it cost me a lot! Sokker players underestimate the benefits of building a roof. They increase attendences under almost all weather conditions, not just rainy ones.
I want a roof but the costs are a lot and it takes a long time to pay off. Cost of going from a 45000 seater with no roof to a 60000 with a roof is roughly 7 400 000 $. Thats around 35 sold-out league home games (assuming you sell-out every one) which would take 7 seasons to turn a profit.
A roof increases attendance between 20 - 50% depending on weather so you get higher attendances for EVERY game.
I forever see people talking about how many seasons it takes to pay it back. You should be looking at return on capital. I think when I looked at a straight out roof vs non-roof. Building the roof paid about 20-30% on capital investment ($2 extra per seat + 25% attendance increase over 7 games). There aren't any investments in the real world that pay that well.
But I can see the other side of the argument. Spending all my money on the stadium means I have no money to spend on good players, which mean short team pain. I think it is a long term strategy vs a short term strategy, but I think this game is all about patience so I think I am right :)

I guess you are, if your estimates are right.
except that roofing a couple of benches behind your goal was not the smartest move.
the brilliant thing about it (as unrealistic as it is, is that you can always expand your covered stands without paying for a whole new roof. you only pay for covering the expanded area.

Roofing the benches isn't as stupid as it looks on first guess. Although I lose the $2 per spectator, I still increase the people sitting in those benches by 20-30%. Some people won't attend the game if there are no benches because seats are too expensive. I probably have too many benches, but having some benches should maximise your attendance figures.
agreed. but I still wouldn't roof them
