Subject: Sokker Ranking
what's the problem???
It doesn't matter if you are not the number 1.
IMO, It is the same NT ranking, so the number is calculated in the same way (with friendlies and official matches). It is called simplicity and I go for it.

Well it will matter. Reason is that friendlies should matter to make sokker more interesting. If all people think "friendlies are not important", then they will not enjoy them and only play them for training. :)
Please try to keep language on a civilized level.

In those 7 seasons I have been battling in the best danish league, I never finished with less than a silver medal. 2 times national champion & 2 times cup champion & winner of The Double. And now I'm ranked 6'th - below a couple of teams from lower division :-/
But I often lose my friendlies. Maybe thats the reason.

True and not true :) ..... besides a few exceptions all the best teams of my country are in the actually
Top 10 of the ranking system.. so the ranking does not mean much but it says something :)

But friendlies is allready interesting to me, in the way that it gives an opportunity to try out some extreme formations or create funny lineups with friends. Like the "schoolboy match" I once saw. Now I have to worry about ratings, so no more fooling around now?
Well I can see only 1 team from lower division that is ranked before you and this one once won your cup and was third once.. :)
I meant "that's why it does not suck"! Wrestny keyboard....

What do you mean no more fooling around, it's not something new, ranking points have always been based on both league and friendlies. You can still do exactly the same as before if you choose to for the exact same consequence. Why shouldn't it count for ranking points, if it didn't why wouldn't you place all 10 players in a tiny corner, so they never touch the ball and don't get injured. Least by having ranking count for friendlies (as has been the case as long as I can remember) you can discourage that kind of action. There's a tradeoff between training, tactical experiments and ranking points.

Without ranking points for the midweek games and a chance to recover, teams stuck in tough divisions would have their fan mood killed. I bet you'd have people complaining then.

So you are saying that ranking points are actually important for you?

Yes. sorry. I counted FC Buur as well. He just promoted. Anyway, right on my tail, with almost same amount of points, is a handfull of lower division teams. I really think the difference ought to be more. Ranking certainly doesn't tell the difference in strength.
