Do we knoe how many 3:rd placed teams that will qualify?

15 groups, 30 teams from 1st and 2nd and 2 from 3rd place.

It's unfortunate to see a return of 5-team groups. Luck of the draw is one thing, but an inequitable number games played has always struck me as unfair. :S Very sympathetic to those 3-4 seeded teams.

L is death group

either L or O. Both are pretty much in the same range. Both disadvantaged by 5 team groups, both hit hard by new NT rankings being high.

Well, in 6 group teams games against worst NT shouldn't count, as in real life quals.

except it doesn't and it didn't last time, we were in a 5 team group the last time it happened under your management ;).

well think about it, 5 team groups play 8 games, 6 team groups play 10 games. There is no factoring this in when determining who qualifies from 3rd team finishes.
