Subject: World Cup Qualifying

Just got the message that it wasn't intentionally and that something with saving the line-up must have gone wrong.
*case closed* ;-)

The word "Balls" comes to mind.

Perhaps you don't, but I would be pissed of if my team needed 19 shots to score only 1 goal, while the opponent needed only 4 to score 2 goals.

That's the classic whining of new users after drawing their first match against the bot. Our answer is always the same: "forget the repport and just watch the match!"

Lietuva scored 1 out of 9 clear goal situations. It also had 3 situations that could have reasonably been goal, but not so clear, and definitely could also be missed, plus 6 shots where it needed lots of luck to score (meaning: you need to be very very unlucky to receive a goal in such a play :P). I don't see the 19th shot.

uruguay socred 2 out of 5 clear goal situations (the match shows 4 shots, the 5th one is a play in which the Uruguayan player ran straight to the keeper, trying to dribble him I suppose, but lost the ball to him). It had 0 "reasonable" chances and 0 non-dangerous shots from middlefield.

So, Uruguay had the luck of scoring one more time despite having 4 chances less. In addition, Lietuva didn't have the luck to score any of those 3 reasonable shots (mostly headings). That's the role of luck in that match.

Where's the role of tactic? It is in being Uruguay, play against Lietuva and create 5 clear situations, while conceding "only" 9. That's the role of a coach. Then, the rest is up to luck...

"forget the repport and just watch the match!"

Where and when did I state that I had not watched the match, apart from that I took the shot-statistics from the match report?

So, Uruguay had the luck of scoring one more time despite having 4 chances less.

So you do agree with me in a certain degree? :)

Before concluding and accusing people that this was done on purpose please read the comments before. We already cleared this but let me refrain in an easier way maybe you have some difficulty in understanding english.

It was just a mistake cause the NT coach had some problems with the internet connection and thought he saved the formation whilst instead it was not done.

This has nothing to do with unfairness. Our NT staff already issued an official statement on our forum in english language so that everyone can understand what have happened and if you think the Maltese NT coach and staff did this on purpose than its your problem.

We know that this mistake, especialy since we were going to play against a very strong team, sounds like cheating but I can assure you that this was NOT done on purpose like few people here are trying to point out.

Mistakes happen.....its all that we can say and now its up to you whether you want to believe us or not. We cant proof anything....its just our word there is to thrust.

What we can promise is that we are going to be more careful next time so such thing wont happen again in the future.

To err is human my friend....we are not god! In fact similar errors happen many times in sokker. So is than everyone cheating?

It is very unfair to judge people without knowing what really happened.

Hope now this issue is closed cause its getting really annoying!

If you don't get to set a lineup for a match, Sokker uses the one from the last match (to be precise, the last formation you set for some match) by default. So, either the coach successfully saved an empty lineup and then failed to save a 11-player one, or we are talking about a major bug here, a bug turning lost conections into empy lineups.

exactly what happened dont know cause i am not the nt coach i am just his asst. and I am telling you what might have happened. could be that he was doing the line up and saved the tactics and then when he choose the players he didnt save. dont know really what the mistake exactly was.

What I can assure you is that this was not done intentionally. Now everyone can believe whatever he wants. We can say opnely that we just did a mistake and that it wount happen again.

Now am sorry and dont feel like we need to answer any other coments or questions.

We said what happened...for us its closed case.

Thanks

Well, if it was "option 2" then it isn't as simple as forgetting all about it, since the problem will remain active and will potentially happen again to another user experiencing connection problems. Thus, it wouldn't be something related just to your match, but a general Sokker issue.
Default lineups are a way to avoid having WO each time someone fails to set the orders for whatever reason. If a lost connection causes the server to write empty/corrupt data instead of keeping defaults, it must be corrected so it can fully accomplish its goal. But I guess devs could enlight us about this point.

In any case, don't fell pressed to answer, it's a general question in a public forum open to the world :) If you don't know exactly what happened you don't need to answer people asking about it, you can just let anyone knowing take the stand ;)

what i can say for sure is that it seems that it was a human error and not something related with any game malfunction.
