its a server provider issue. i have skmailed loop about it
2010-08-10 15:32:01
Can you write here?
Skmail feature is not working for me thanks to strange java script stuff.

can you check the service provider loop. I havent changed anything and suddenly nothing is working. It may be that they have messed around with their firewall again. In effect everything points to them as i havent changed anything and neither have you (i think). ;)

Looks like a mysql problem and not like a firewall problem.
Did you check the database if it's ok?
2010-08-10 16:17:06
I have found the problem on my own

Fehler
SQL-Befehl:

SHOW FULL FIELDS FROM `sokpump_marks` ;

MySQL meldet:

#1017 - Kann Datei 'sokpump_marks' nicht finden (Fehler: 2)

sokpump_marks is deleted from harddisk of the mysql database server.
I'm in contact

uho - thats maybe due to its size mate.
2010-08-10 16:32:53
Well, how big was it? What's your guess?
2010-08-10 16:38:04
Now they tell me that their server was okay and not their fault.
They can move the file back from the backup but my database is over 10gb so I have to buy an upgrade first (remember I bought unlimited mysql database size).

Coincidence? I don't think so.
Let's jump on the table.

it could be about 4-6gig in size mate. Im sure at the time while you said it was unlimited size it was contracted to "fair usage". I was worried about this i must admit. I see the actual table is showing as "in use" so im presuming some sort of restore is being done?
2010-08-10 17:06:44
He is playing back the backup now.
I don't know from when it is.
He told me that unlimited fair use (they even advertise with: here at world4you your mysql database is not limited) was around 1-2 gb per database which was already very big for mysql.
I could only laugh. We left with my word that we will reduce the size.
Possibilities?

i can make it so we only keep 2 seasons of data i.e. last season and this season. It would mean halfing the database in size. I can also delete all the players who are no longer in sokker.

2010-08-10 17:16:35
Sounds good mate, but I would say 3 seasons, not less!
Deleting the players who are no longer there.
Also, how much space is the scouting tool taking? Can't we drop all players aged > X with a value < Y
Is that a lot of work?

Then we see what size we have and I can talk to that CEO again how much more money he needs or what ever he wants....unlimited my ar..

Btw.: We can keep the old seasons somehow on the ftp file system or so?
I have 10gb of unused space there.
2010-08-10 17:37:45
pfffft sokpump_marks 43,261,783 i mean come one thats not a lot ;)
2010-08-10 17:47:11
Well, the CEO told me that the size of it was not the reason why it disappeared...he does not know the reason ;)
