Subject: Bankruptcy - need changes??
I was inspirated by example of this user and his team.
r00zg4 playing Sokker since beginings of this game but was quite unactive last times. When his acount ballance reached -500 000 $ he listed one of his players and lost control - was unable to login again to send this player away. User who won the licitation didn't bring this player. He wasn't even login since the day of deadline.
In consequnce r00zg4 is now unable to improve account balance by any other actions. Simply he is unable to login at all at the moment.
It means that he'll become a bot and there is nothing what he could do about it right now.
What are you guys thinking about it and what should be changed in system of bankruptcy(if should at all)?

auto-bringing player after one week instead of punishment for not bringing in.
We (Rink ,me with greg and some others) had a discussion about this on our special server when I was mod.
The idea was to allow login for around 30 hours to make sure that you can send away your player when someone bought him.
One of our reasons was fair play, someone who does not want you to continue might buy the player just to not bring him in and ruin your club.
I'm still strongly for this change. It does not do any harm to Sokker, it's only a good and fair solution.
Some people have to understand that there is a life without sokker and that some additional time doesn't hurt anyone.
Maybe you can find the idea and discussion on our special server, I think Rink is creator of the thread.

I bumped the thread for you on special forum under script ideas.

I remember this thread because I was bankrupt then. Greg at the beginning wanted to extend the bankruptcy deadline to 3-4 days, but the decided he won't change it because you have to control your economics.
But what if there's a sudden transfer cut? I mean you sold player for 10M euro, and after 3 months you get fined for 2M euro because admin decides the player wasn't worth it...then what? you're bankrupt...

pfff I would give ban for that one whou bought player but didnt bring him in :\S
Yes, I still have this opinion that the duration the manager is still able to log in into his team before not being able to log in anymore should be (a lot) longer. (4-7 days)
Auto-bringing-in the player after one week is no good solution. Because this does make it impossible for two teams to decide together that the player is not brought in and transfer is cancelled. Atm this is still possible.

Well, this should not happen.
A TPA has to happen right away or never, so I would not call this a reason.
The only reasons is:
Someone buys your players and does not bring them in.
This one would be already enough for me but was not enough for greg :(

About fine, we do not have to discuss this here at all, but it does not matter if it is fine or any other way of losing money to get under limit of bankruptcy. You will always have 24 hours time after your first login after reaching bankrupcty level to sell players or sack trainers etc.

In such case, I think the player should be transfered manually by an admin or developper.
something I wanted to add:
I was once below the limit to and had to sell a player. If someone didn't want me to continue playing sokker, he might have bid on my player and then wait 7 days and I would be gone...
hmmm... there should be something to avoid that, definitely!

all those solutions would be helpfull if user is still interested in game
but somewhere we need to set a point without possibility of come back. where should it be?

If he's not interested, he won't place his player on TL.
he could done that before get -500 000 $ on his account
well, it happened to me too, as I simply haven't checked the finance on friday,
then on Saturday I got the "nice" massage when logging in...
Edith: and it also happend to at least 2 Swiss managers, who are quite active...

Yes, for this the automatic messaging system would be the solution, so you would get an automatic PM in sokker as soon as your finances drop to far with the informations of what is going to happen. Still I think 24 hours just are too harsh and it is not in any interest for sokker to lose managers just because such a harsh rule. Bankrupt teams are not cheaters, so they should also be treated better and I see NO REASON not to increase the time those guys have to fix their finances. That's why my first proposition was 4 days.
