Subject: Supporters Mood Update
Is that normal, that the line is showing that mood is on the top, but text is saying that "fans are in depression"?
Today - after friendly (training) match - mood dropped one point - from rules "satisfied". Text is still saying "depression".
Strange, I must say, very strange. There must be mistake in this system!!! Anyone is checking code or all developers are on vacation for summer?!
Check printscreen in Estonian - unfortunately.

What???? Winning a national cup isn´t enough? RIDICULOUS!!!!
It´s very stupid when a team win a cup and had a dropping mood. This new system is really stupid! :/

Omg that's a very crappy situation.
It's unbelievable and stupid at the same time that if you won your country's Cup your supporters mood decreased. I mean, this is not real soccer, but it's supposed to be as real as possible. It's about common criteria.

hahaha. Thanks God! I really liked to see it
Now isn't it enough proof that the system needs an adjustment??

Nope.
They will only get it when it hurts, meaning Plususers decrease by significant numbers.:)

And you must see that my team haven't lost a game for 11 matches.
if the system is what i think it is - you need to keep winning (like you do).
but you have to start winning bigger and bigger every time - so by the end, you need to win an equal team 50-0.
i guess you have reached the "maximum" area, where you cant go higher anymore.
i wonder how it actually works.
does it take a league teams and calculates their optimum strength and how many fans can there be? or does it take everyone in one country and puts them all together? if so, then the more newcomers you have, the more the "bigger" teams will suffer - cause the newcomers are lowering the "optimum" level down.
anyway....dont mind me much - im not good in math - its just theories to squeeze out some answers.

It's really simple how it works- if you a play a team that was a division below you last season you have to win by more than one goal; even if it's the cup final. In the same way if you won your countries top league last season you have to beat everybody by a margin related to where they finished.
Also if you have Plus you get a boost to your fan mood calculation every week which is fair as you are supporting the devs. I wouldn't do what people are suggesting and stop getting plus as that adversely affects your fan mood...

The problem is that, yes, this system is logical: f you a play a team that was a division below you last season you have to win by more than one goal. Fine, it´s logical. But it´s stupid when a team win a cup and yet have a drop mood. I don´t care if the system is logical, because even being logical it is proved that isn´t fair in many situations, like that of 10nutz.
If this is a manager game of soccer, then things should be like soccer is: when you will be the champion (winning by only one goal, or in the penaltys), your supporters will be happy. It can´t be different of that, never. This system need adjustments.

Right.
Even if my supporters mood was at minimum level, after wining a competition their mood should rise up to maximum level (or at least it should not drop from maximum level).

I've said this somewhere else but just to point out that the people who make Championship manager have never been able to make fan mood work right either even with millions of pounds going into development each version.
The question you've got to ask is whether this version of fan mood calculation is better than the old one. I think it is because it's not as easy for successful teams to always have top fan mood and its easier for weaker teams to have a chance at some fan mood when their results deserve it. I'm sure the devs can look at a bonus for league and cup victories but to get to such a level of detail would be tough to say the least and these devs are volunteers rather than paid employees of Eidos or Sega. The people who are asking for a touch more realism in the calculation should perhaps also consider a touch more realism when it comes to their expectations in a free to play web game. After scrolling through the last few pages of this thread it seems to me that the only way to implement such sensitive calculations would be to have a highly trained team of people locked in a room manually working out the fan mood change after each individual game :)

I am pleased with the amendments 26% (96)
I am not satisfied with the amendments 74% (278)
I believe that people think that this version of fan mood calculation is worse than the old one. As you can see, 74% are not satisfied with this new system.

Not really, justs needs a bit of common sense. Fans are happy when they keep winning or even when they are within reach of challenging for the league. The cup is different and not all bigger teams even bother fielding their strongest team until the latter stages because of the way SK works with regards to training players.
Maybe earlier stages should have less affect in the cup and increase their affect as the rounds progress. The same to some degree can happen in the league so a bad start doesn't punish as much because it's the long term trend that matters. If the strength of the two teams playing was also compared it wouldn't be as bad, then if people know they are way superior they can weaken their line up for the game maybe.
Or even lower the expectations of the current formula a bit more and just leave it at that. Having to thrash teams by huge amounts is just plain silly and doesn't reflect football at all.
Like I have said before they could even just disconnect fan mood from sponsor and match attendance and just have it affect new/leaving supporters.

Your suggestion about cup games affecting mood more in successive rounds is the best I've seen so far. It would solve the early rounds problem for big teams and give a big bonus at the end whomever you beat in the final.
It feels odd to agree with you ;)
