Subject: Supporters Mood Update
B definitely, but also calculating league rating, average of others' income etc.
I take it you as admin have better information on this than ordinary users.
Nope ;-)
Did you experience let's say 30k drop of income from sponsors after win in the cup (even though your rank went down because your opponent was much weaker) in previous seasons? I don't think so. Now with fanmood dropping 2 levels after win it's not that unusual.
Personally I don't have examples with the new fan mood. My fan mood was usually at the bottom because I lost some league matches, even the win of the cup couldn't change that. The sponsor income was low aswell due to the fact I lost some league matches. It was basically like this: I won -> higer fanmood and higher sponsor income, I lost -> lower fanmood and lower sponsor income.
There was I think one match which I won and still my fanmood dropped. Will check it later if the sponsor income raised or decreased that week.
Do you see anything about sponsors (I might have missed it)?
Nope, but I don't get what you mean, sorry :-(
You are wrong and fanmood influences sponsor money.
I think I'm right, but of course I can't guarantee for that ;-)
I have the same information as you do and can only base on what I've experienced so far.

Where is the border and does anyone know the formula?
If you read through the thread you would see that it has nothing to do with ranking points. It's mostly to do with your finishing league position from last season vs your opponents. Last year for example you finished next to your opponent so it's a simple calculation with not many modifiers, you needed to win to gain a level and you lost a level for losing. I would regard that as being common sense so why complain about it?
In cup games you're playing teams from a few leagues below you so you need to score more goals to keep them happy. Whether you agree with it or not it's not that hard to get....

Sounds great but that logic doesn't really hold up if you play someone who finished above you the season before.
For example, i just got promoted in to II.x in England against the odds and recently played someone who finished mid-table in this division. He owns 2 English NT players and i lost 1-2 against him.
Shouldn't my fan mood rise instead of drop? Whatever calculation is being used, it doesn't reflect the true strength of each side.

Just going off last seasons finish it's only an 8 place difference which isn't huge. Also add to that the fact that that was your opponents first season in div 2. The games where people get a raise in mood after losing are usually more for a two division or more difference.
My opponent has played 11 seasons in II, even one in the Premiership and had only a recent 1 season stay in III.
What you're forgetting is it isn't just 8 places difference is it. Seriously dude, think about it; the reality is it's a lot more than that, and if you disagree then the position thing doesn't work at all because it doesn't judge strength properly.

Once again we're back to having to lock people in a room to individually work out every permutation needed of the mood calculation for every individual match :)
You would have had exactly the same mood result under the old system btw, it's not like this new system is the first one to punish teams for losing ;) The main difference in the new engine affects huge mismatch games more than anything leaving most games the exact same as they've always been in terms of mood calculation. And no... your game was not a huge miss match however subjectively you look at it ;)

I am sure that it has all to do with ranking points, as before.
The difference is in the way they are being calculated from last changes on.

You still lost to someone in the same league. The new system may have reduced the resulting fan loss. But there would have to be a pretty huge gap between the teams to expect lose=gain.
Are you moving the goalposts again? :D
Many replies ago possibly on the bug/sugg thread you said to me that if I get promoted I would not be expected to do as well on past records against a team already above me. Now you say to doughnut_jimmy that there are only 8 places difference so only losing 2-1 isn't good enough to rise a level because there isn't a huge difference between them.
Erm......how many teams are there in your div 'cos I only have 8 in mine and if I don't beat bottom of the league by enough I will lose fan mood...but....but there are only 7 places difference!!!!
The fact that a team won their national cup yet lost fan mood should say everything that needs to be said about the fan mood change and how good it is.

This is by far the worst change they've ever made. It will be better for my team to demote out of the top league for next season as it only takes a couple of losses and the supporters are furious the rest of the season.

And it´s happennig not only with national cup winners, but also with league winners:

Today, I got a difficult draw against a team whose rating is higher than mine (49 against 45) and whose ranking is higher than mine (500 points more). Thanks to this draw, I'm champion of my league which is in the top 3 of all the French 4th level leagues. I have only the 5th team of my league as to players value.
But my supporters' mood has lowered of one level....
Seriously, what is the matter with you dev?
This is really by far the worst change they have ever made here. We already showed that we´re very disappointing:
Supporters Mood Update
I am pleased with the amendments 26% (111)
I am not satisfied with the amendments 74% (311)

What gave you that idea :) I'm unbeaten this season but have still had a lot of mood drops by not beating teams by a big enough margin. I've also paid attention to who I have a friendly with, making sure that if they're not a similar team to me that I score enough goals.
I am arguing for this change because I have a better idea than most people on what an unfair advantage teams like me have had in the past. On the other hand people like you and others I won't mention in this thread think they have a divine right to a top fan club mood and a full house every game. Personally I would prefer to have a fair competition in my league, if you want to continue dominating yours without anyone else having a chance of catching you then fair enough.
