Anaconda asked me if I could help him developing this World Cup Guide, for the upcoming U-21 World Cup this friday. The results are shown in this topic.
In this topic all countries participating in the World Cup are introduced to you. You will find statistics as interviews with the coaches of the national teams.

If you notice any mistakes or you have questions, please let me know by sk-mail.

I hope you enjoy reading this topic. This topic will be devided into 2 seperate parts because of the size of it. So we have Group A-D and Group E-H.

- Aarni "Zizou" Heikurinen (MID). Zidane-style player, the soul of the midfield. Not as good head player than ZZ.
- Ville "Tiki" Uusioksa (MID). He is a player that the fans love but is hated by the opponents. He makes a lot of invisible but valuable work in the midfield.
- Erä-Jorma "Forest Man" Sarparanta (DEF). 207 cm tall colossal defender who lives in the forests of Lapland in northern Finland.

2. Which players of each group opponents are you afraid at most?
Uruguay: José Bonilla (DEF)
Türkiye: Aktekin Deviren (MID)

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
Minimum target is 1/4 Final. However the Final is the goal.

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
I dont think that I have any big advantage over other NT coaches but I'm highly motivated.

6. Which teams will be in the final?
Suomi and Polska.

7. Who would you support if your own country would get eliminated?
Scotland, which played in the same qualification group as we. A small but strong Sokker country.

8. Which other coach is the Guus Hiddink of SK in your opinion?
theKarsten, manager of Karsten Dream Team. He won the Championship of Finland last season and have never used the foreign players in his team.

9. Why are you the NT coach of this country?
Because I got the most votes in elections and maybe I have done something right on previous seasons.

1. Who do you think are your best NT players? And why?[please give 3 best players and a little description of each one]
We have a good spread of players this season but no standout performers. We think that if we use our players well, we can get the most out of them.

2. Which players of each group opponents are you afraid at most?
Probably all the GKs. We will have to find ways to score against some world class GKs.

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
We've fallen into a group with Finland, Turkey & arch rivals Uruguay. Will be a tough challenge to pass the group stage, so we'll take each game as it comes.

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?
Luck will decide who finishes top between Finland & Turkey (that will be the best game in our group) and I think Australia and Uruguay will be fighting for 3rd.

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
I have the best coaching team. 4 very experienced coaches will be helping me prepare for every game: Minkee, cometer, Tigermaster and Achmid as well as other input from the active users in the Australian sokker community.

6. Which teams will be in the final?
I can't say yet. Many of the big teams have not been tested yet.

7. Who would you support if your own country would get eliminated?
It's always nice to get knocked out by the team who goes on to win. We'll see after the group stage. In true Aussie fashion, we will probably support whoever is the underdog. :)

8. Which other coach is the Guus Hiddink of SK in your opinion?
I don't know many of the U21 NT coaches. Overall, I rate borkos007 as one of the best in the game. Just like Guus, he coached Australia NT and has just promoted to top league in Poland.

9. Why are you the NT coach of this country?
Our coaching team has 5 of the best coaches in Australia. I just have the buttons. It's a team effort. We've taken the team this far despite having one of the weakest U21 squads and only 20 active managers. That's an achievement I'm proud of. Anything more will be a bonus. We'll give it a crack and see what happens.

My experience, I've been National Team coach Mexico in 4 seasons, I consider myself a gifted tactical level.

1. Who do you think are your best NT players? And why?[please give 3 best players and a little description of each one]
We have some good players, 3 of them may be: Florian Nicula, the keeper, Alexandru Ciocoiu, one of the best 21yo defs in the world and let's say Viorel Maftei, a very nice midfielder.

2. Which players of each group opponents are you afraid at most?
I'm not afraid of a specific player, both Mexico and Portugal have good teams and they may cause some problems.

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
I think this is the wish of every coach who takes part in a World Cup, to play the final and win it :) though, semi-final is a reasonable task.

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?
Romania, Mexico, Portugal, Lietuva

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
I don't know to say exactly, other coaches are very good too. Maybe that I'm the coach of Romania for 3 seasons now, I know the players and I have a bigger database then others to choose from

6. Which teams will be in the final?
I hope Romania and any other team :) I would like to win against Polska, though. In our last friendly match, they didn't deserve to win.

7. Who would you support if your own country would get eliminated?
I'll support the teams where my friends are coaches, as Brasil, Israel, England, Belgium...

8. Which other coach is the Guus Hiddink of SK in your opinion?
there are some users who did well during these years, Hellsangel, Seca, borkos, Bluep...

9. Why are you the NT coach of this country?
I'm well-known in Romanian community and I always wanted to be Romania coach, but the senior squad was a big hat for me, so I was very happy when U21 were implemented, and I candidated. In the first season I won against 2 romanian champions, 2nd seasons I won by 8 votes :P and now I think I deserve to be the coach at the World Cup, after leading the U21 2 seasons.

Piotr Olejnicki - great, complete player (but with poor stamina unfortunately), he can play as MID, DEFMID and wing as well ... ps. he is from my YS ;)
Szloch Sylwester - one of the best defender in the world
4 World class Goalkeepers
Maruszewski Olgierd - second important midfielder

Italy - strikers for sure
I haven't seen other teams in action

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
World Cup final. That will be hard to win it beacause there are a lot of teams at similar level.

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?
Poland
Italia

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
I do not know other coach's yet. I think I have all skills to be a good coach and we will see after WC whether it is true ;)
My biggest disadvantage is that I have not to much experience with working with young players.

Poland - Italy

7. Who would you support if your own country would get eliminated?
All who will ask for it :)

I do not know other coach's yet.

9. Why are you the NT coach of this country?
I am a big patriot. I love to see my country winning and I will do my best to achieve the best results.
We are building with my scouts large and solid players database. I can promise that all of the Polish best players will be searched out.
I have a lot of experience playing with strong Polish teams and also I have been a member of Polish Association since 2 seasons now.

we haven't great MID this year and i love strikers :) Campedelli is more complete than Ontani but Ontani can be create more confusion in defense line-up of the opponents

i don't know now, already i don't study group, maybe all players of Polska :))

I thought ranking but i'm in the harder group of WC so i think that i haven't advantage...Of course i have a NT more strong than other small countries.

Sincerally i don't know, i would like see WC because some NT has change coach...i'll say after WC but i hope to be Fabio Capello, the best!

9. Why are you the NT coach of this country?
Because i play sokker since 2005...i was the first coach of NT ITALY in first 3 seasons and we arrived second after polska when we played with Excellent skills and polska with divine...so someone remember of this result :)
All Italian community knows that i'm serious and the italians know that i try to do my best..if i'll lose no problem, but i promised great work :)

1. Who do you think are your best NT players? And why?[please give 3 best players and a little description of each one]
Jeremy Gemill - Classy defensive mid or defender, one of our few class players in this age group.
Gregory Hempsall - The playmaker of the team, he could make us click.
Jay Veley - Our best goalkeeper at U21 for 3 straight seasons, this has to be celebrated. Played as a 19 yr old due to no other keepers and still plays today, might break the record for the amount of U21 games played for England, or any other SK Country.

2. Which players of each group opponents are you afraid at most?
Poland: Piotr Olejnicki / Olgierd Maruszewski / Radoslaw Mlot
Italy: Costante Ontani / Carlino Turci / Mino Dragomir
Slovakia: Daniel Hajducký / Radoslav Cerný / Timotej Guláš

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
I want to achieve qualification and not look beyond that, but being realistic we hope to get 3rd due to the difference in quality of players available to us and Poland / Italy - it really was the worst group we could have got after qualifying without a single loss from what I feel was the hardest qualifying group in the first place. Having said that we did achieve better than some bigger countries in our group, so who knows what could happen if the others tactically mess up! ;)

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?
Being realistic:
Poland
Italy
Slovakia
England
This is purely based upon us having no strikers this season unfortunately, otherwise the top two would have worries against us.

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
I have no advantage other than they may underestimate us, I have tactically out thought some bigger NT sides in the qualifying group so maybe I tactically can out think the big boys, I certainly have a plan.

6. Which teams will be in the final?
Its a tough one to call as this is a new set of players, but being realistic you would expect the largest user nations to have some quality players at their disposal, so anyone from Brazil, Italy, Poland, Romania and a dark horse being Israel maybe.

7. Who would you support if your own country would get eliminated?
I know they won't support us but if we go out I would support Scotland. They have a much easier group so they have more chance to progress than us I feel, plus a few nice players.....one especially eh rtg?

8. Which other coach is the Guus Hiddink of SK in your opinion?
The Guus Hiddink of SK, at U21 level?? Hmm thats a tough one but I'll say westbrom of Suomi, played him twice in friendlies and not beaten him as yet.

9. Why are you the NT coach of this country?
I am the coach because some nutty people obviously feel sorry for me and voted. :) Seriously though I feel I have dedicated myself to try and improve the quality of youths we get in England and how they are trained. This is a process but the dividends are starting to show judging by what we have coming through next season and the one after. Tactically I feel I am also a decent manager and have already caused an upset by just qualifying and undefeated at that. I also communicate well with users and managers of the players, which is extremely important.

It´s not easy. The strongest country have good coaches. Maybe in experience. This is my 3rd season with NT

I prefer attractive tactics --> the country with good tactics:)

Argentina -> Alex Ioselli -> on of the best midfielder in his generation

Hmmm... He is from Russia so -Sneg- is our Guus Hiddink! :))

They believe in me and that I can achieve a good result!

Well, 1 is our keeper Vlastimil Jashin. He is our unique keeper in highest class, his relief is 18-years old Popovich...
2 is our best striker Abram Kovtun (unfortunally he had injury recently). He isn`t so good as our opponents strikers, but he is our only hope for success in attacking actions.
3 is our wingback Jurij Zabolotin. Best in defence actions.

Strikers in the first place =) Because we will use mainly defending tactics.

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
Every point will be achievement...

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
My national team represents biggest country in real life :-)
If seriously I`m quite bad NT coach, because I`m very lazy, too careful and bad in study of something new. And my English is so poor...

Every team for our groop are strong but i think that we have a chance to qualifie to the next round

I support only my country and noone else

1. Kenny Dalgleish – easily the best player in my squad for the last 2 seasons. He is destined to be a total LEG-END. He is followed very closely by a new talent recently discovered in Pele McFadden – with that name he is going to be my creative genius for the world cup

All of them, nah seriously – Norway look strong all over, Serbia for me are the favourites for the group followed closely by Greece. Its going to be tough.

To not get hammered too often and try to get as many juniors properly trained for the seasons to come.

Serbia 9 points, Greece 6 points, Norway 3 points and Scotland 0 points.

Asle Rødal, a complete defender with no obvious weaknesses. Dag Hovind and Kasper Heggernes, the two best keepers in our group, and our only players that have a level akin to that of the best teams.

2. Which players of each group opponents are you afraid at most?
Graham Colson, a superb striker on an otherwise uneven team (Scotland). He can win games single-handedly, which is very scary. The other teams in our group have a larger number of strong players that together pose a big problem.

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
I'd like to go through to the next level, but even that is probably going to prove very hard. On paper it looks as if Scotland and Norway will fight to avoid coming last, but the group is even enough so that we plus Greece all can come 2nd.

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?
1. Serbia, 2. Norway, 3. Scotland, 4. Greece (yes, I'm aware that this might not be realistic).

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
None that I know of. As far as I know they're all strong coaches and rtg is possibly the most experienced of us all, which might give him an edge.

6. Which teams will be in the final?
Italy and Poland.

7. Who would you support if your own country would get eliminated?
Italy (ciao belli!) and Scotland (always loved Scots. Awesome people.)

I really don't know. The Turkish coach a while back (don't remember the name, or know if it's still the same) impressed me. I'm horrible with names, so I don't remember his.

We are a small country, and I've shown a high level of enthusiasm both for tactics as well as the U21-team for a long while. Those who vote know me by know, so they know what they're voting for.

We are not scared of players, we respect the rivals, but we are not afraid of playing against a crack player, it even motivates us more.

We have the hope of wining the WC, altough it's pretty difficult as there are several teams with similar or higher level, so, our goal is to do the best we can and give the 120% in each game.

The staff I have come across with, I think it's pretty difficult to have more illusion than the one we are have among the NT staff.

I guess Polska will be in the final stage, probably Italy too. A lot of teams can pretend to the 2 qualificative places. I just hope we will be in it cause our group is quite difficult.

More seriously, maybe Italy. They are strong enough to defeat Poland.

Hells(angel). He is definitively one of the best in this game. And I'm lucky he shares his experience with me.

Gugu are the best one in my opinion, maybe the best U21 brazilian mid in all of the history, and Marquinhos is the second best :p
Passarela can be a big star with this two monsters in the mid.

1. Who do you think are your best NT players? And why?[please give 3 best players and a little description of each one]
We have a pretty solid team this season but we don’t have that much star players like our strikers last season for example. But if I have to choose I would say this:

1. Lars Uijtregt: It's a realy fantastic winger, I think even one of the best of his age in Sokker but his problem is that his form is always low! Hopefully he will be in form when the WC starts. Then he will be our star player.
2. Xander Biekman: This player is only 20! years old but already one of the best players in this years team. This is shown by his transfer a couple of seasons ago, he’s sold for 17 million euro's! He can be used as defensive, central or even attacking midfielder. He will be a monster player in the future. But he will be a first team player in our U21 this year!
3. Max Lambregste: He isn’t as good as our strikers last season but he’s still our best striker this season and definitely a very nice player! It’s a shame he had a long term injury wich is still not totally recovered but I hope he will be there when the world cup starts and score many goals for uss!

2. Which players of each group opponents are you afraid at most?
Chile: Segundo Benavides, this is a player from a well known Dutch manager and a have seen his skills some time ago. I think he’s one of the best 21 year old strikers at the moment and we surely must watch out for this great player!
Colombia: I don’t know much about this country yet but I think Armando Galán is a very important player for them. He is one of the best midfielders in our group I guess.
Eesti: I don’t know why Kristjan Jõgioja hasn’t played any matches for EestiU21 yet but only the fact that he already has a value from 1 million euros now makes me afraid:P. I think not many 21 year old field players achieve this in the beginning of the season so he must be great.

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
I hope we become first or second in the qualification group and qualify for the 1/8 finals but it will be hard to achieve this because I think we have three tough opponents. Especially Chile will be very hard to beat I think. After the group stage every round further would be great!

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
I think we can make a lot of good tactics with this current crew. We are familiar with a lot off different formations so we maybe can surprise our opponents. Also I have learned a lot last season as U21-coach and seasons before that, when I was advisor myself, from mostly Pauleta and The_smiths. Therefore we managed to qualify in a very hard group with England, France and Hungary. We became first in this group thanks to some good tactics.

6. Which teams will be in the final?
Italy-Poland

7. Who would you support if your own country would get eliminated?
EnglandU21(because they have a nice NT-coach and were 2nd in our qualification group).
And also Belgium a little bit because they are always spamming our forums :P.

8. Which other coach is the Guus Hiddink of SK in your opinion?
I think Maqoma is a really great coach. He has a lot of experience with managing NT’s and he has done almost all his jobs amazing! Like with our NT last seasons. I guess he’s one off the best managers in Sokker.

9. Why are you the NT coach of this country?
Because it’s my home country of course :P. Also I always liked making tactics and being involved with the NT. I enjoyed being scout and Tactical advisor before so the ambition was to become U21-coach next. I was really happy when I won the elections. I also appreciate that I can do the world cup now, after we managed to qualify.

As i have prefered, i haven't used most of the players i'm planing to use, i'll give u a short answer. Edison Rojas, Carlos Rozo, and Armando Galán are the most important plyers, due to a horrible beggining of the season. We used to have a very strong team, but we don't anymore. So these 3 players, who play in the midldle, have the skills to keep the ball and give the football ideas over the other players.

2. Which players of each group opponents are you afraid at most?
To be honest, at this time i haven't checked it at all. I usually care about the tactics, not too much about the players. I'm most afraid of Chile.

3. What do you want to achieve with your NT in the World Cup?
At today, i would like to get until second round. If this friday i saw a better team than i suppose i have, i would think we could get quarters.

4. How do you think, what will be the group standings after all games?
I wish Colombia-Chile-Eesti-Nederland.. but i think Colombia as second, third is more realistic. And i'm giving my opinion without watching enough about Nederland.

5. What is your biggest advantage over other NT coaches?
Self-confident, after bringing Colombia at the best ranking we ever have got. 15th place before lose last 3 matches, and getting some imprtant results against teams like Spain, Mexico, Srbija, etc.

I began with NT Colombia 7 seasons ago, so people know me and feel confident about my skills. At least they know i take the time to do my duties. Otherwise, because of the ranking we have got.. Our National Team never have got better than 25, something like that.
