Subject: Is Sokker dying?

2009-11-12 20:41:05
so what have you observed?
2009-11-12 20:43:50
Not so. It takes much longer to go up than it takes to go down.
2009-11-12 20:46:23
Mmmmm dont know, if that would be true, then the overall mood level would tend to drop to 0 eventually.

Well it can be easily checked - we need to sum up all sponsors incomes in week 1 of chosen league, week 8 and week 16.
2009-11-12 21:11:01
bla bla bla

and what about weather? what about Cup games and friendlies? what about size of fanclubs?

think...
2009-11-12 22:32:40
what does weather have to do with sponsor incomes??

cup games and friendlies - ok, here you're right, haven't thought about it.
2009-11-12 22:37:23
ups, sorry

i tought you was telling about attendance.

anyway sponsors incomes aren't strictly dependent to suporters moods...

economists are useless in life :P
amen
2009-11-13 04:15:40
which is why i dropped economics after half a year in high school ^^

at certain level a complexity reaches level when you can no longer use common sense and you have to get your numbers straight (and use them as input for common sense). in that sense, economy is useful.

ie. over 10 sokker seasons period:
what is the IRR of investing 20m € into striker(s)
what is the IRR of buying 10 supertalented youth instead

if its 20m € you have earned with your hands and brain, i tell you will not make this decision until someone (an economist) can get these numbers straight for you.

From rereading my post, i realized this topic has swerved from its original focus, why dont we make it positive a try to find 3 top things we want changed (or at least commented upon) and then insist to get feedback on them?

Here are mine:
1/ Intl. cups (like SIC)
2/ Sokker developer blog (mandatory posts at least every 2 weeks)
3/ Player shortlist (i can see status: injured, on TL, in NT, value - plus feature)

again, done at a few times already. We've done talking positive, let's talk about the end of the world!
