It sucks, I signed up because sokker got blocked becuase I got too vocal with my team, so I looked at profugol. I'd rather just listen to my music and sleep.

The number of users is down 20% from a year ago. I've not seen any announcements of any changes or improvements to the system. I'm not paying for Plus because there doesn't seem to be any activity by the programmers worthy of my money.

Is this game dying?

it's the users who let it die rather than the programmers imo. too many 'financial' managers around.

Change is coming but it takes some time ;) I agree more communication would be better, and many managers agree, but it's greg choice not to do that. I don't know why, probably he doesn't realize the importance of good communication, but it's his choice to do it as he do now.

This next part isn't personal to you, but to many manager on this forum, and they know if they are the ones I'm talking about when they read this .....

You know what the other problem is, a group of managers just keep complaining on the forum but aren't willing to spend a minute to really help Sokker. In stead of spending that time to type those kind of useless complaining messages, these same managers could also post some ads and links of Sokker on other for example soccer- and gameforums to increase the number of Sokker managers. That way they would actively help Sokker in a positive way instead of only complaining, which isn't helping Sokker in any way ;)

it's not really like this :)

Romania, once... had 6000 users.
A couple of users, including me, were spamming like hell, in hattrick, on different sport forums, newspapers etc. At least in hattrick we were the nightmares of Game-Masters :)) we were like 5-6 users connected on same team and everyone had a number of leagues to send ht-mails. We were starting the "job" with 4-5 available teams at least.
But this is not all. Once the new user is registered in sokker, he receives a welcome sk-mail from romanian staff, with different advice, tips, do&donts + the list of tutors he can contact.

I think this is the most we can do... but... it seems it's not enough

A lot of "established" teams are quitting. But surely this is a natural thing. If you play a game for 5 years or more you are bound to get bored & want to try something else. Even more so if your team is not competitive. For years I used to play Football Manager every spare moment I got. Now I am bored of it & prefer sokker instead.

The problem is we are not replacing the users who are leaving. We need better promoting/marketing of the game. I'm sure we would have more users in Scotland if people knew this game existed.
