Subject: Is Sokker dying?
Oh I did
all that is needed is statistics of highest avg. attendances in certain week in one big country
I remember that higher leagues had higher avg. attendances and highest avg. attendances were from highest leagues. With some exceptions on the last part, but exceptions do not matter, what matter is the long-term average. Also, these exceptions were from top parts of the table, not from the lower part, if you compare the lower part of a league with a higher league then you will see a real difference.
of course nowadays it's useless since we can change the ticket prices, though it doesn't change anything - it's just untraceable now.

His problem in this case is not bad luck, but the number of benches in his stadium.
Of course the lowest divisions have less spectators but i mean the divisions directly beneath the highest division.
What do you mean with that? if you mean the blue part in my stadium you are wrong cause there are more spectators than in the red part..., strange but true! Even with the same prices.

Biggest problem is the place where are no roofs but even with the best possible weather and supporters mood there are no spectators there...
So the weather is not important, only the roof....Strange thing.
And you need roofs verywhere otherwise there are still no spectators in my stadium on the places with roofs
But maybe i was born unlucky for Sokker ;)
This season i did have 8 injuries and 2 suspended players at the same time also ;)
In 1 of the matches 10 of the 11 best players could not play ;)

Of course it's true
still you'd get more spectators if you had benches all around the stadium
let me put it this way:
every stand is counted both in a direct and indirect connection
so, every stand has an X potential of those we will be satisfied with terraces only, Y potential of those who will choose to go to the game if they will have at least benches and Z potential of those who will only go to seated places.
now, if you have terraces in a stand you get only X, if you have benches you get X+Y, if you have seats you get X+Y+Z
another thing is that if you put a max price at all stands but one and at that one you will put a normal price then you won't get the number that you'd get if all stands were in the same normal price
I know it sounds stupid, but that's how it works
ergo, get seats and you'll get the desired crowd
as for the lower division - one division lower is also a lower division [eureka! ;)] and that's what I mean by lower division

I never really got it how the roof thing works, would need a lot of data on that aspect, too lazy and uninterested in the subject to do that

Ok, i will put seats and roofs everywhere in the near future :)
Hope you are right :)
But still it is silly this way.
Highest divisions should have the most spectators, if there are seats/benches or whatever.

Of course it's silly
on the other hand it has some sense, otherwise the best way to make a stadium would be one big stand made of seats, covered with roof :)
Highest divisions should have the most spectators, if there are seats/benches or whatever.
and they have, believe me
but the stadium part is the key factor, much more important than the number of supporters/mood of supporters
of course weather has a big impact as well, but in the long run everyone gets the same weather in average

that is not an award, you wont see Barcelona wining the league and after the end,the only thing they will recive is the GG from the board.
they recive 40 milion DOLARS for that or somwhere on that number.
Oh, you want more :P I thought you say you didn't get any award ......
And I'm glad the winner doesn't get that ridicules amount of price money or else Sokker would start to look like the Spanish competition in no less then 1 or 2 seasons. 2 clubs fighting for championship for the coming 20 seasons, all other clubs only play for best of the rest. That would be really great :S Talking about killing this game ....

You're mixing two totally different things...
Real and Barca aren't that much better/wealthier than the rest of the league because of the end of the season financial award, but because they get together over 60% of TV rights money. This leaves the remaining 40% to be shared amongst other 18 teams in the league.

Good points. If you really want to see active managers .... come and see 1.Liga 16, Switzerland.
It's not the point from who or what these clubs get that money, the point is giving the winner of the competition to much money will given them a way to big advantage over the other clubs so it becomes impossible for the other clubs to keep competing with that club, and even more those who promote.
It's not about giving the winners more money, but giving them anything at all :).
They get money for becoming number 1 in the competition right? And they get a cup, a title and the honor of being the best of their own country for at least a whole season, and they play the Champions Cup. So this isn't nothing, but just to less for some people (complaining complaining complaining, as usually on Sokker) ....

Guaranteed entry to the Champions Cup is money though, effectively.
