Subject: Is Sokker dying?

2012-01-18 14:43:40
Every online game needs money ...
Hardware, servers, domain name, ... aint free.

money is needed to keep Sokker online? i dont think so

Please, if you don't understand, don't say things like this. (see comment MacLanghe)

people who bought plus .... his own decision

It's not the same as buying milk. And now you know that Sokker needs money to stay online, so answering this text is completely unnecessary.

begging wont help, ask for users to buy plus will make them to think that sokker is realy dying.

Again, no one is begging for money. And that second part is just ridicules to say. Maybe this is what you think, that's all.

no one says "you have to pay"... what I am saying is that a plus costs just 6 euros, and there are lots of users playing sokker since 5 or 6 or 7 years and they don´t stop complaning about the wrong stuff in sk but they don´t have 6 EUROS TO PAY THE PLUS AT LEAST ONCE.

that´s my point... nobody has to pay, but if you are the kind of users always asking for development, then please cooperate with this site...

6 euros... what is that? three pints? five newspapers? ten cellphone calls?

come on...

I've paid Plus, but I stopped it after I felt it doesn't worth it.

+1

I had plus for many years and could easily afford it, but I don't want to.

It is useful [mainly the training stuff] but I won't buy it because there are some things in sokker that I really don't like, including attitude of mods and admins.

Of course Sokker needs money to keep this game alive..., servers, new features and many other things are not for free. Nonsense to say that this is not needed.

So ( as put here 1000 times now i think) the only thing they have to do is communicate.
Communication is so bad here that all people leave ( or stop buying Plus) and tell potential other users how bad this is.
But ( as told before 1000 times) Sokker does not want to change this, so it will die in the end.
Simple as that.

Does anyone who play to other soccer managers (especially quite old games like SK) games can tell if those ones are stable with users or even increase their number ? I don't think so but i can make some mistake about that.

I think SK is quite old, is not an easy game to play. new games arrive every year even every month. Old managers are quitting because they did quite all things able here (winning all national trophies available). The global level is still rising because the most concentrated of users who came years ago achieve to be in the higher leagues now... New users become think to go into higher divisions quite quickly which is very difficult. In anoHTer soccer game, the number is decreasing too, because it is imposible to go into upper levels easily... New games get many new users very quickly but will get their maximum quite soon because the users will not go into upper levels easily.

Do not forget (the answer is directed to Poey) that as every game, the goal when subscribe first is to win. if you can have fun and chat a little, then it is a bonus.

Agreed.

Tho i dont hate any mod or admin or developer, i just see so much things that can be different and can be better but none of those are implemented so i dont want to spend my money on a thing that stays still and doesnt move anywhere :(

I dont know, maybe im too harsh and Sokker just isnt making enough money to be able to make constant developments, but i would like to see atleast some effort.

- everybody have had any disagreement with any MOD, they are the law in here, and of course they are human, so, of course some of them have could make mistakes or ´ve been stupid. Same for us, the rest of the users.

- devs need money to accept the challenge of making sk better than now it is... they have worked lots of hours on this project and obviusly after many years they realised that they were not getting enough for that work. So, they lost most of their entusiasm. I guess they have lives and works, and this is a proJect in wich they would probably invest more of their time if they ´d see more people supporting. because, this way... it seem to be not profitable at all...

SIX EUROS

on a sidenote, I dont think sokker needs more money to survive. But I also think free users shouldn't complain about things going slow concerning development :)

He's not talking about people who sometimes misjudge involuntarily.
I know, he also is talking about who he considers is a stupid mod. Ok, stupid people are everywhere, in fact, many of us probably are :P

what I say is... turn the page and keep on going... we love this game, we love it since we knew it... let´s try to stop been pesismistic and better give support.

actually, with the dotpay and paypal services, right now is still easier to get the plus... SIX EUROS.

sokker is not dying ,just that the demand for football managers games online is low . Just look at the other games :hattrick , soccerproject , that portuguese game (i forgot its name ) .

+ There is a lot more choice than there used to be, so any people that decide to play an online game have a choice of many rather than a choice of few.
