I would like to see that sokker detect position of players and show the sum of skills according to that position.

I think that:
a player is GK if sum of gk skills > sum of defender/mid/striker skills
a player is DEF if sum of def skills > sum of gk/mid/striker skills
a player is MID if sum of mid skills > sum of gk/defender/striker skills
a player is ATT if sum of att skills > sum of gk/defender/mid skills

Would be useful that the sum will be shown at request, for gk, def, mid, striker.

And now tell me how do you detext player position? :-) There's no exact algorithm.

A player is GK if sum of gk skills/3 > sum of defender/5;mid/5;striker/3 skills
A player is DEF if sum of def skills/5 > sum of gk/3;mid/5;striker/3 skills
A player is MID if sum of mid skills/5 > sum of gk/3;defender/5;striker/3 skills
A player is ATT if sum of att skills/3 > sum of gk/3;defender/5;mid/5 skills

I am thinking about average function, if you can use it.

Average sum of a defender skills is bigger than average sum of the same player gk, mid, striker skills.

If i understand it rigght, then DEF and MID skills are the same. and thats a conflict.

stamina excellent keeper excellent
pace excellent defender excellent
technique excellent playmaker excellent
passing excellent striker excellent

DEF:10

This player can be anything. If you can't tell me what is this player, osokker can't tell it too...

Please take a gk and show me that this formula make him to be anything but no gk or you can take a defender and prove me that my formula show him to be midlefielder...

Also, you can add up skills in the way you now count the sum for osokker positions and then won't be problems anymore.

I think, one professional user like you can know the players position anyway, even without oSokker.
But for a new user can be useful.

I have such formula's in soker organizer, and in assistant, a tool of plus, and they do not work as i want it... and i can make the algorithms myself. Even then many mids will be defs...

I do not think it is realy usefull for new players, they will be confused too much. "Hmm i want him as a mid but he is a def? then i have to look for another one."
I had some mails from people who start and look on transfermarket for players, and looked at statistics and saw a player played only mid, so they tought it was a mid, he was no def...

I agree with this.

There always will be players that do not fit a algorithm.

lots of newbies ignore that osokker exists...

there is obviously a way to do it "nearly correct". Just think of apollo. you can click on a formation and click on go and voila your team is picked for you. Yes i know, you and me both know that certain players are clearly in the wrong position there but thats for newbs to find out.

I use osokker on firefox and i installed the new update of August 16 2010 and i lost the scissors next to each player usually used to translate players skills and to put players on forum ready with BBcodes. Can someone hwlp me please?
