I like most of the changes, but I hate it when my defs are pasing backwards
2011-03-16 18:39:54

I still love new ME :)
it makes the game more active, there's more action! :)
I watch every game of mine, even junior league games xD

I like it too, the only thing is fast strikers are a bit of a problem as defenders can never overtake a fast striker, even if it's a fast defender.

cause of the launching ?
2011-03-17 00:51:36
Imagine a winger with no tech running alone in his wing and kicking the ball out by launching.Does he need tech not to be so stupid?

no, but he needs tech not too kick ball out ;))

When a player sees there is space to run into he may launch a ball ahead of him, to run more quickly compared to dribbling with the ball at his feet. How precisely he launches the ball depends on technique and experience.

--------------

but why on earth doesn't he say 'I don't have enough technique to kick and run, I will either keep the ball close to my feet or launch it long to the strikers'?

Obviously player must have tehnique to not be retarded:):)

you have seen it loads of times down the amateur parks where a player has loads of space but the ball hits of the guys shins, knees then foot and out for a throw in - the crowd laugh, the guy says he is still drunk and thats his excuse.
2011-03-17 13:00:05
Don't know if that's the only reason, but it could be yes.

that's miscontrolling. That's different.

we are talking about a player bringing the ball under control and then just rolling it out of play
2011-03-17 17:01:39
Well, it happens in real football too, when a player gets speed thus losing control over the ball... and it rolls out of play... or the winger wants to avoid the tackle and prolongs the ball too far..- I have seen it many times, especially in 2, 3 leagues of national championships...

In reality, there are very few players who don't have the basic skills. Here, most players do lack the basics because the way training works and the ME which really does forgive a lot. A player without technique shouldn't be able to control the ball at all. Never mind doing so at a dead run. I really have no issue whatever with players screwing up like this if they don't have the stats.

but the problem is that 'don't have the stats' is a relative concept

at what level of technique do you think a player should be able to run along the touchline, with no opposition around him, without putting it out of play?
